Why hasn't a Mexican rapper popped off?

Probably bc they can't talk that cartel shyt without getting disappeared off the planet. No dissing the plug or wind up in one of those remote locations

I thought Kap G was going to be the one years ago but he never made that leap.

6ix9ine realistically was the one but he was never really around any mexicans :pachaha:. He has the numbers to back up his claims to that though. At one point before it all went bad he was riding around screaming about how a Mexican (himself) runs the whole game

I see all the Mexicans in Houston running behind Travis Scott :skip:. Not sure what's going on there. Yall remember when the Mexican DREAMers co-opted Kendrick lamars "alright" as their protest song :dead:

YG was running with some dude Sadboy I think his name was. The Cali mexicans don't seem to have it in them to make anything outside regional music :hubie:

I'm not sure the labels have figured out how to market Mexican rappers. I think they lean into stetetypical shyt like mariachi or bullfighting outfits (peep kap g follow up single video to his hit girlfriend)

Crazy bc J Balvin and Bad Bunny took over the entire world with their music

considering the size of the Mexican population I would have really thought it would have happened by now :patrice:

Mexicans are different depending on where they live. A Cali Mexican, a Texas Mexican and a new york Mexican is like 3 different cultures. A Mexican rapper from one area won't resonate with a Mexican listener in another state

Spanish people are probably the most divided people

This motherfukker still alive? :gladbron: Dude's tape children of the concrete wasn't too bad but he fumbled the ball something heavy a decade ago. :wow:

This is dope :ohhh: Don't know how I didn't stumble on this back then

EDIT: Ohhhh that's who this was :ohhh:

Yeah I seen him on some Team Backpack cyphers, never checked his music out. Crazy

Yeah I only really gave him a chance off of this song:

And then he suddenly disappeared. It was wild.

:whew: Wow this is fire, definitely would've been slappin this if I knew about it back then. Best Mexican rapper I heard by a country mile

"The kids fulla potential don't ever end up leaving town
Success is never dressed within a high school cap and gown
So what does that mean for me? Just another kid who dropped outta JC
Like Kanye West from the West, who never got blessed with the opportunity to meet a No ID
Met a lotta thieves at CCP, with a sleeve fulla trickery and heart fulla greed
Can't blame us we was just teens, tryna find a way in society
Gotta learn early how to duck, bob and weave
cuz they'll throw you them woes, throw you them 'bows
One-two jab combo, better learn how to roll with a punch so you don't catch one
And fold, that's a metaphor, for the tolls of life
Oh yo past was dark? Well then your future's bright
Naw, but that's never the case, just another cliche we say
To help us cope with our daily pay, daily bread, bow yo head and pray
Amen... I been thinking
bout changing my direction but I easily lose faith when it's..."

:whoo: Bro really got bars, delivery wasn't quite there back then but good enough that he could've definitely gotten a buzz if he stayed consistent.

Not self aware enough to realize that the nygga shyt is a turn off and will put a ceiling on his listeners. Needs to drop the word altogether. One of the problem with Mexican rappers are that they are too regional, and don’t take any of that into account. However, he probably doesn’t need to in a market like Texas.
