The trap muzik sound was ALREADY getting old back when Jeezy dropped TM101. But the music still exists today!!! (ex. chief keef)
As a hip hop fanatic, I cannot understand how the general public is not tired of hearing the same beat OVER and OVER and OVER.
For example, Tribe called quest and Pete rock had the jazz thing going but that faded out.
Dr dre and west coast had the G Funk era which faded out
Jay-z and blueprint 1 had the soul era which faded out..
BUT THIS trapping music era still exists til this day. Maybe its because its the easiest form of hip hop to replicate and such. But WTF man. Stop this shyt
you just answered you own questionIgnorance is bliss![]()

The trap subgenre has alot of different sounds to it and I think people get caught up with sayin "all the beats sound the same", I'm not sure how anybody could confuse what Mike Will is doin now to what Shawty Red was doin on TM101..or what Zaytoven does for Gucci to what Drumma Boy does for Gucci.
4 tracks from Gucci's Im Up mixtape...
Zaytoven
Gucci Mane - Without Me - Track 01 (I'm Up Mixtape) - YouTube
Young Chop
Gucci Mane - Super Cocky - I'm Up Mixtape - YouTube
Lex Luger
Gucci Mane - Kansas (Feat. Jim Jones) - Track 05 (I'm Up Mixtape) - YouTube
Drumma Boy
Gucci Mane ft. Big Sean - Brought Out Them Racks (Official Music Video) - YouTube
These beats couldn't be anymore different but still fall under the same "trap" umbrella..as long there's different producers puttin their own twist to shyt it's gonna keep winning (at least in the south)

EDM is now experimenting with it too. It's better now than it used to be but the goddamn stuttering hi hat is played the fukk out.
