Why have albums stopped leaking?

In my opinion it's streaming. It may be because there's not that many projects that I'm dying to hear but these days I usually wait till its on Spotify. The only album I DL'd recently was the new Masta Ace and that's only because he didn't put it on Spotify and the cost of the physical CD is like $18.99 which is more than I am willing to pay for a CD. Most times I'm not even listening to albums first day they are released anymore whereas in the past I wanted to hear it as soon as it dropped.

It takes me anywhere from a week to a month to get to new releases nowadays anyway, so I don't know and don't care

Kevin Gates, Wiz, and YG all leaked this year. Thats just of the top of my head

YG didn't leak how many times I gotta say it, Apple Music just released it a day early. I didn't pay attention to Kevin Gates & Wiz but I know for a fact Wiz didn't leak, at least not in the conventional way, since it was a digital only release

People had the YG album like 4 days before the realease breh and Wiz did leak. I remember cuz i downloaded it soon as it leaked.

My bad it was 4 days, not 1. But it didn't leak, Apple Music just released it early, look on the Wiki page

Again I didn't pay attention to Wiz but I just checked the discussion thread for the album, and it looks like it leaked/dropped a day before the official release, and when it's cutting that close I doubt it was a "leak". And not only that, but it's impossible for albums that are released digital only to leak.
