Why have cops become so bad at solving murders?

Cause even 15 year olds know how to do hits and get away with it now.

Stolen car, fake paper plates, stolen gun, mask and gloves, after that it's just a matter of experience.

It's crazy though, dudes will commit a perfect murder where the police know they did it but can't prove it, but the police will target you for the rest of your street career to the point of trying to frame you for murders you didn't commit.

Because they don't wanna solve em. In most urban cities, you have (racist/covert) cacs from the burbs, and outskirts, policing minorities (Blacks, Hispanics, Latinos, etc). They have a disdain for POC. Most these officers are there, to get a check, and rape the system in OT pay. Folks were talkin all that "fukk the POLICE...." after George Floyd (understandably), rioting, etc.

Obviously "post-pandemic"....cacs and officials and power, have taken the stance....

"Well, they don't want police...let em kill each other off...fukk em."

When they do decide to solve some shyt...a brutha kills another brutha, it's just "2 birds, one stone". One dead, and another one of the street. Like someone also pointed out, in a previous thread, too...

All these cats from the 80s and 90s been coming home the last few years (or dying off in jails). All the folks from the gang-wars, crack era, kingpins, etc. The OGs wit those 25 to life, or 30-40 year (draconian) sentences, from back then. They gotta keep the profits coming in, and making money off inmates. They're letting young nggas run wild in the streets, knowing their the new generation, to get roofed wit those draconian sentences (for 30+ years).

I’ve always been confused how getting rid of the weapon makes it so you can beat the case. Like if eye witnesses point you out does it matter if cops can find the weapon you used or not?

No. If anything snitches are the only reason why cops still solve the murders they do. Most cops are idiots, which is why crime period in the USA has a low clearance rate, in all communities.

The real reason at least where I am is the staffing. They haven't had the correct amount of detectives for at least 5 years in Cleveland. They'll pull detectives off other assignments and put them in the homicide division and then once they actually have to do the work they're overwhelmed with the backlog of cases or have PTSD from the constant death.

There was a case a few years ago where a 13-14 year old mentally impaired girl was kidnapped at a bus stop less than 1/4 mile from a police station. An officer found her body in an abandoned home while they were doing searches in the area. She had been raped and was naked folded up in the corner of a closet and was stabbed through the eye with a screwdriver. That officer went on leave for months and I think they might've even retired after that.

They don't make enough for people to want to deal with that on a regular basis.

Also to a large segment of society they see police solely as the primary means of keeping black folks , specifically black men in check, if they get out of order.
