They were told to go to college ,buy a home and raise a family because that’s what worked for Boomers and X . When millennials got to that point College costs skyrocketed,The housing and job markets collapsed so you have an entire generation than was sold what they perceive to be a lie and have been left to “figure shyt out “ . This situation was caused by the “greed is good” culture that boomers instilled in the 80s and is just now being policed because of the fact millennials realized the game is rigged .It’s not a coincidence that the first large mass protest was Occupy Wall Street. This is why there is so much animosity between Boomers and Millennials. Gen X really has nothing to do with it,they’re caught in the crossfire of hating the conservative generation that raised them and horrified at the liberal generation they raised (because they wanted to be nothing like their parents so they raised their children in that opposite manner ).Gen X tried to rebel and say fukk the system but realized that the system worked for them for the most part so that cooled off . Millennials really mean fukk the system because they were actually fukked which why you see cryptocurrencies and constant chaos in financial markets…but the other side of that is cancel culture and the mass liberalization of moral issues (which is another huge rift between boomers and millennials)

Millenials weren't smart enough to read between the lines. Going to College is useless if you don't pick the right field of study. Comp Sci grads aren't crying.

That said, the costs for schooling in the US is ridiculous. Gotta do something about that. School is a business and has been that way....no one needed to tell you that it's all there for everyone to see.
