Country is derivative from the Blues.

I thought I made that clear but maybe I didn't go far enough into history to make that clear?

I was speaking where Rock & Roll came from. I'm sorry you misunderstood that.

Hendrix was a blues rock guitarist if there ever was one. Otherwise Clapton wasn't.

you, tweaked't my dude.

you said and tried to make a whole argument on trying to denounce what was going on.
when, you did not know fully what you were talembout.
the threadstarter and anyone in the know about what blues is and where country and any other white label performer of blues with a different genre name is.
knows the whole and complete demo.
on the whole situation of blues being ripped off and relabeled a genre called country.

i can go bold, where you tweaked't at my dude.

you tweaked't it happens......
i had a freudian slip and said the same thing twice in one reply.
when, i meant to post some comparative type shyt.
i had a freudian slip, and still knew what i was talembout.
you on the other hand just did not know the complete facts on where country is derived from.

country is derived from blues.

you was about to make that whole shyt,...into some other and another type shyt for no reason.
shyt, you was well on your way, already, anyway...

hold off on all that shyt, joe.

Opinion. Misguided but opinion. It also wasn't an entire debate but rather a passing argument.

We were talking about rock & roll. Not really country or the blues, but rather where Chuck Berry was more influenced by.

i can go bold, where you tweaked't at my dude.
Please do.

That's not what a Freudian slip means.

country is derived from blues.

I agree and never disagreed but it also came from other sources. We weren't talking country. We we're talking Rock & Roll. It also came from folk music from European lyrics and music from Africa too since we're on the subject.

No.

But I don't know what that means.

Come on.

I'm Indian (India) and I think white and black people are very similar, ya'll party the same, are flamboyant and flash the scene. I don't know why blacks and whites hate each other when they have the same personality. I hate white people and I hate black people, Asian (Indians and Chinks) should be the standard.

You're delusional if you think Fancy wouldn't have been a hit if a black chick did it. You honestly think it wouldn't be a hit if that was Nicki Minaj's single instead? Even if it was a new chick, as long as she was attractive it would work. Sounds like a Mustard beat, and his shyt is dominating the radio, plus has a catchy hook? Come the fukk on.

White people are the majority in this country. If you get enough of them to like or buy your product, you're going to sell well. There is no media conspiracy at work, it's basic math. They feel white artists speak to them more personally, just like black people would say a black artist speaks to them more personally.

I'm not worried AT ALL about white people "taking over" rap. For a variety of reasons but here are some:

1. The white population is shrinking. Cacs are dying every day, while the population of blacks, Hispanics, and Asians rises. Remember all those shocked republicans back in 2012 who couldn't believe Obama was gonna win? He won largely due to dominating the demographics that are the future of this country. While whites will remain the majority race for awhile, their buying power is decreasing as the black and brown (and Asian) buying power increases.

2. There are no musical barriers in hip hop. The decline in black musicianship can be directly traced to public schools gutting music education in the 1970s. Whereas once black kids had easy access to a variety of instruments, the 70s changed everything. And guess what was born in the 70s? Hip hop (as we know it). Today hip hop doesn't have a monetary or skill ceiling - anyone can record something on their phone or computer. And technology is only getting cheaper and more accessible.

Another point people overlook: black youth moving away from the church. Choir was once another area where black kids excelled at music, but now younger people aren't nearly as religious or forced to go to church. There was a time when most of the top black singers - from Aretha Franklin to Whitney Houston - made their way through the church system and into the mainstream.

3. White people love hood tales.
White people have been the driving force behind hip hop's rise in popularity since Run DMC. They buy the most albums, attend the most concerts, buy the most merch, etc. Public Enemy showed there is quite a hunger for rap music that depicts a life that most white people are unfamiliar with, and that will continue to be true. Iggy doesn't have certain life experiences that white audiences want to hear about, same with Macklemore.

------

The idea of a "white takeover" of rap is nothing but concern trolling. Yes, white artists will continue to sell well and many black artists will continue to sell poorly. But there's a solution to that: buy some fukking music. Every music thread on this forum is dominated by people who download music. I'm not innocent, I download shyt too. But I also pay for many projects from artists I like. I don't want to hear anyone complain about Iggy while they download shyt from Meek Mills or whoever. You're killing music.

Okay, Death was influential, no doubt about that but you're not entirely on point..

Los Saicos (a band from Peru) pre dated both of them. pre dates Death by a decade.

Good song, I'll check this band out :ehh:

But there's nothing punk/hardcore about that:ld:

The vocals maybe, but the music sounds like standard 60s rockabilly type stuff

Death tho

:blessed:It's got thrash, polyrythms, all that good shyt. :salute:to them three black brothers from Detroit
