I just want to correct your history a little bit.
Chuck Berry was influenced by Country artists and Elvis by black artists.
Little Richard was a being upon himself.
But that's called Rock & Roll which grew into other genres/subgenres.
Pink Floyd wasn't influenced by Chuck Berry nor was Progressive rock in general.
Parliament wasn't influenced by Elvis or was funk at all.

I know all that. THe same way white rappers today are influenced by black rappers, and still get more airplay than your average black rapper.
Pink Floyd wasn't influenced by Chuck Berry, but everything has a start, an origin. There is no progressive rock, soft rock, alternative rock, acid rock, indie rock, folk rock, heavy metal, progressive medal, none of that without the origins. That's just the truth.

No Hank, No Chuck, No Elvis, No Beatles, No Dylan, No open poetry as commercially viable, No explosion of Soul like Sam Cooke and Rock acts, No (unfortunate birthing pains like disco}, No old school Rap, No Golden era Rap, No new school Rap (now), No White Rappers.
And the only mainstream white rapper I like is Eminem much like his peers.
Music is multi-cultural and builds, Fonzie.
Alright, on my humble let me know if I'm wrong, but you're saying Hank the 1st had more influence on Chuck Berry than Robert Johnson, Howling Wolf, Leadbelly, Jelly Roll Morton, James Booker, etc?

On Elvis, no.
And most of those artists have more of an influence on Dylan and Clapton (And the English invasion of rock, particularly Johnson)

breh, what you dont get is you dont own shyt: not the radio, TV or distribution. And the majority of the people paying for the music are white. If a white rapper wants a co-sign from a black artist, he's going to get it because that black artist is trying to eat too.

Tbh I don't know much Hank bar "A country boy will survive" but it just seem Chuck sounded way jiggier than anything Hank was doing. Post up some songs if I need correcting. You heard his seeds tho?
