Tdot.. till the death of me
No, African Americans built America. Not Africans.

We ceased being the same as you the moment we landed on this continent.

And none of this has anything to do with why the supposedly more successful Africans who come from Africa can't build their communities on par with what African Americans have created since emancipation.

massa called you toby and you damn near love that name. Sad.

anyway im done discussing this with you. Have fun in america being target practice for cacs

I'll @ you next time a see a cac in amerca with a sign saying no blacks, or go back to africa

No, you were not relevant. You still aint relevant. Like so many have pointed out already, nobody in the US thinks about Canada....ever. The difference is that down here the music reflects the culture to a large degree, you guys are just lifting your culture from the music....Canadians be on here using slang they obviously learned from rap records because they know damn well nobody in Canada is talking like that. That shyt is corny.
Everything in this post is true.

I live 11 min from Canada. It's quicker to hit that bridge than to drive to anywhere in my city.

Canadian nikkas ..... don't even have to speak
For me to feel funny about their presence.

Don't have any real problem with Canada (I envy them having a comptent government compared to the shyt heads we have in DC and our state capitols), but some posters I have seen online (not just on the Coli either) (also joined by some Euro posters I have seen) seem to weirdly style themselves as experts on our issues in America in a arrogant haughty demeanor

See right here fail...

Fatherleness is an issue here too and in the black diaspora in general. But you wanna feel special so go ahead...

Basically y'all wanna get on the world wide web and hang out with local people. :mjlol:

Anyone that asks where your from before deciding if they wanna listen to what you have to say is a close minded moron.

Lol why are you begging to be a part of the discussion that AAs are having about their internal issues. Because you're "black"?

You're Canadian whose parents come from Africa.

Stay in ya lane fam. It's embarrassing to be talking like " fatherlessness affects us all :damn:"

We love you nikkas. :salute:

Nowadays, relations are pretty normalized, but the historical desire for Canada to not be America goes back centuries.

For example, there really was no such thing as a "Canadian national identity" before the War of 1812, when the Canadian territories repulsed an American invasion. The political culture of Canada was heavily influenced by American loyalists who fled to New Brunswick after leaving the States. The Canadian Constitution was written to explicitly not be the American constitution, in the sense that that Canada was petrified of what they saw in the American Civil War. The Royal Mounted Police were created only because Canadians were afraid that American prospectors from Alaska would encroach on the Yukon and try to annex parts of Canada. The phrase "peace order and good government" appears in the Canadian constitution as a collectivist antithesis to "life liberty and the pursuit of happiness." The list goes on and on. Nowadays, everything is cool and Canadians eagerly absorb our pop culture. But the history of Canada is essentially the history of trying NOT to be America.

Americans don't think we have a rough life, which is for the most part, true. We're soft, and that's okay. We don't have high crime.

I've never lived in the hood, I've been a suburban nikka like Drake, only except from Scarborough, not Pickering Ajax. Never sagged my pants, never seen cockroaches in the cereal box. etc.

I'm not complaining though, Canada is the greatest country in the world.

I think it's a case of us not having the extremes. We have a religious rednecks in the West, but they aren't as religious or redneck as the dudes from the south. We have our ghettos and rough neighborhoods, but they aren't southside chicago or gutter parts of NY. We have our busy city Toronto, but again it ain't New York. We have our rich people and celebrities, but they aren't Beverly Hills/Hollywood. And when they do get to that point, they move to California.

But in terms of what the average Canadians and Americans want in life, and what they value, I think we're largely the same. And I'd say there are a lot of Americans who would be happier in Canada and there are a lot of Canadians who would be happier in the States.

I think the biggest thing is that most people think what happens in Toronto is what happens everywhere. I live in Winnipeg, and it's nothing like Toronto. There's low-income neighborhoods here, they have gangs in the city, they have murders and drug busts here too. Granted, most of that applies to the Aboriginals here, and they get shyt on by the Government something serious. But Canada has its problems just like any country. Might not be nearly as bad as it is in the states, but they do exist. And I wouldn't brag about that anyway.

To keep it 100 though, America prides itself as 'The Land of Opportunities', which is true. Everything happens down there. Had Canada decided to focus on its own entertainment industry and built on it, I don't think we would be focusing so much on America's shyt. But seeing as how your average Canadian doesn't even know about the Canadian Hip Hop scene... :manny:

I don't catch feelings over shyt said on here. It's not like Canada's gonna get nuked because a few coli posters don't like us.The dudes bragging about America on here don't have any power or influence, so why should I give a fukk what they think of Canada?:mjlol:

I gotta admit though, I :snoop: whenever I see fellow Canadian posters trying to act like an authority on American issues. shyt is a bad look on us, let's worry about our own problems. I come here to enjoy the fukkery and post in race threads about issues that affect black peole worldwide. I could care less how many African American babies are born out of wedlock or which gangs in America are fighting with each other, that shyt does not affect me, let AAs worry about that shyt.

This.basically

Most of these cats aint got a passport aint never been nowhere but be talking about the globe like they dumb asses know suttin...
I dont give a fukk about Canada/America none of that cuz i aint patriotic and aint on that imperialistic mindest cuz my peoples aint from over here...

Its also funny to hear yall american posters talk about we mimic ya culture, when in reality we a west indian dominated minority and its really west indian cultures that dominate up here more so than black american...

Hip hop was created by a jamaican man :russ:
