So you just started listening to Eminem when he came out with Recovery then? That's when his content really started going down the drain. There was still some solid content on Encore and Relapse (although also mixed in with some garbage).

I agree recently that has been the case, but definitely not with his past music. This song (along with almost everything on Recovery, and Berzerk/Survival) is nothing but random boring content for the most part. He has ran out of things to rap about and lacks the creativity he had in the past.

And in the past, even when he was rapping about nothing specific it still sounded like he was rapping about stuff and wasn't spitting complete gibberish. Plus his delivery wasn't all over the place.

Yea but none of that matters if the music doesn't sound good. I agree he is still one of the best at internal/multi rhymes. His punchlines/metaphors/wordplay have not been that great though - that stuff started falling off around The Eminem Show imo. Most of the time they are just corny these days too.

I mean I see what you mean about having some filler in a line, but that whole song was solid storytelling and wasn't just gibberish, so really throwing some filler in a line like that doesn't bother me. Plus he was doing the theme to inspector gadget, so it does go with the line.

I cannot relate to naus music because I don't pay child support. I cannot relate to cacminem's music because I don't enjoy making skits about getting my dikk sucked by shaggy.

in that line he is singing the Inspector Gadget theme song so it's not just rappity rap gibberish plus the "mac in the back of the ac" line on Rap God is homage to Pun obviously. i'm not even a fan like that, but you can't deny he had/has skills and songs like Til Hell Freezes Over are great.

I don't agree with the argument that you have to be able to relate specifically to music. It's entertainment. You don't watch Star Wars, The Dark Knight, Breaking Bad or whatever thinking "damn this is good because I can relate to it." If movies only dealt with what the everyday person can relate to, they would be mostly garbage.
