Trap rappers grew up on 8Ball & MJG, UGK, Geto Boys, 3-6 Mafia, etc. These new Chicago kids grew up on trap rappers like Gucci and Flocka. I wonder what the rappers who grow up on Chief Keef will sound like

That is why there is gangster music coming out of Chicago right now. It's the basis of hip hop. Hip hop has always been the music of the streets and the rappers are always speaking on their environment and their surroundings. If thats what they know, thats what they gon rap about.

This, and plus if you don't like that gangsta shyt then don't listen to it. There's a ton of artists out there so you can have different music to listen.

I admit, those Chicago rappers be having some good beats and catchy songs. Ain't nothin wrong with them rapping, they're doing it for for fun, money, and entertainment. Why are some people mad though?

Gangsta rap has been around for as long as I can remember.

It's largely a very base reaction to their surroundings, it's also cyclical, and a cellphone and cable aren't really shyt. I know those are just two examples but that doesn't change that it's already all around them, they don't have access to quality education so a lot of people turn to gang type shyt. Not to mention due to lack of school and their culture they're not too bright. I think your oversimplifying it.
