. You just refuted your own damn self. As long as there is poverty, as long as there are people living in lesser conditions, and as long as being a 'gangster' is a way to put clothes on your back, food in your mouth, and a roof over your head thats what people will do. Everyone in this country doesn't have access to the same things and everyone in this country isn't on equal footing. Some places in the US look like a damn third world country.

That is why there is gangster music coming out of Chicago right now. It's the basis of hip hop. Hip hop has always been the music of the streets and the rappers are always speaking on their environment and their surroundings. If thats what they know, thats what they gon rap about.

the "best technology" is subjective, people in the 80's "at the time", had the "best technology."


People with no money are always going to want money, and these days more than ever, it's thrown in the faces of those who dont have it. People in the 80's didn't have to see MTV Cribs or whatever bullshyt is on the TV, being thrown in their faces, while they're just trying to make do.

Gangsta rap was poison to the black youth. Growing up in the 90s when everyone wanted to be a member of the LOX or Ruff Ryders was cancer. All the nikkas mean mugging, going to jail and being proud of it, educated black folk pushed in the background, anything different was considered "white," and or course the pointless deaths.

Hope Chief Keef can flop and this be forgotten. Jimmy Iovine loves to see nikkas in conflict and killing each other for the sake of the $$$.
