he intentionally made the mushiest same-iest monotonous "dark" album he could. I think i read a quote where he said he didnt want any "singles" to actually pop off, just wanted a slow-burner type album.

WELL HE SUCCEEDED. & he sounds bored as fukk pretty much the entire time.


he could've legit had a CLASSIC debut that could have changed everybody's perception of Odd Future. That's never coming back, him & his whole movement is now pretty much cemented as irrelevent to anybody outside their (sizable) fan base.

Earl's kinda gotten to the point where he's better on paper. You can't front on him, he's so dope lyrically. But the dude seriously lacks any kind of flow and the whole "no energy" thing really kills his songs. He sounds like he's bored himself, so it's hard to get me hype, if the artist doesn't really sound into it. On b*stard, he sounded alive, way fresher. He needs to work on that.
