thats not alot of money. I live in LA where the cost of living is very high a studio alone in a decent neighborhood is starting at $1000. So a 2 bed is obviously going to be a but more but i gladly pay it because its a nice clean and safe place to live. healthcare insurance for me and my son is very expensive and it includes dental, vision, etc with a low deductible. those are two things i cant compromise on.

monthly expenses of nearly 5k a month for a woman and her child is not alot?

I dont think wanting to make a livable wage is being spoiled. my rent is $2495 a month, my car insurance is $140 a month, health insurance is $650 a month, childcare is $250 a week, i spend about $800 a month on food, gas is another $200ish a month just to get to and from, and then theres clothes, toys, cable, utilities, entertainment, hair/nail/eyebrow appointments, etc. How can I do that with $9/hr? :stopitslime: I dont even need it to cover everything but a job like wont even really put a dent in my bills.

I do agree its time to stop smoking weed but its hard. and i have a medical marijuana card but they dont care about that. ugh.

All of that is overkill.
I live in LA.

If you can afford to live like that I'm not mad at you... but if you can't (and it seems like you cannot) then I can't really feel bad either.

What do you live in, a beach house by yourself?
:what:

If you can afford 2.5k a month rent, and are renting, you need to scrape up another $300 a month and hire me as your financial advisor. This time next year you would be paying 1k a month mortgage on the home you own... not whatever clusterfukk arrangement you have got going now.

Most of that money is going towards rent and utilities though. And yes I do like to treat myself to certain luxuries from time to time I deserve it after all the work I put in.

How much should I be paying for a 2 bedroom 2 bath with a parking spot that is safe and clean on the westside? Houses are like double my rent but again emphasis on quality of living conditions. Im not living in the hood with a bunch of section 8 tenants and roaches

I was trying to get a seasonal part time jobs so ive been going to all the little shops in the mall and filling out apps. Only problem is no one will hire me :noah: they all want you to have experience or a bachelor degree or they just want too much of me physically and emotionally. Or they want you to fill out those dumb ass online applications that take an hour to complete and ask you the same question over and over. Im not doin that shyt :rudy: I havent had a regular job since I was in high school in 2008. Plus the jobs that will hire me are shytty ass $9.00/hr jobs that want you to do WAYYY too much work for too little amount of money. I feel like my past has spoiled me because I dont want to work for $70 dollars a day before taxes when I was making quadruple that in less than an hour. Im not cleaning up bathrooms or standing on my feet doing hard labor for that small amount of money. Plus im not taking no drug test and I dont want to stop smoking weed. I guess I can say I tried but at the end of the day those little "respectable" jobs just arent for me. :yeshrug:

That transition from stripper to real life :wow: Welcome to the real world girl. As one mobster said "The working man is a sucker". If I were you I'd take a holiday trip to dubai :manny:

You might take this in a certain way, but I think you should try and set the urge to do that asside and listen for a sec.
In your original post you are complaining about all the things you are not going to do jobwise, and proclaiming jobs to be beneath you, while also indicating you need a job.
I didn't bring that up when telling you that janitorial jobs actually pay well, because it could have been isolated to that one aspect of your ideology.
But declaring what areas are beneath you now is starting to show a patern.

You are hearing me tell you to go in a direction you don't want to, but I'm not telling you stop at what you can see there- which is what you don't like.
I am saying to you the direction that you are "too good" for... on the other side of that is where you indicate you are trying to get to.

If you are not willing to make concessions to reduce your spendature in order to save based on your current income... or make concessions to get a job and increase that current income... then what is your plan?
Loterry tickets? Hoeing? Hustling? Magic?
You are cutting off your own options by being prideful.

Is there a reason you and your son need seperate bathrooms? Lets start there.
Why is your parking spot a priority? You are paying 140 for car insurance. Thats full coverage.

Help me help you.

You haven't lived a "respectable" life so why would you deserve a respectable job?

Actually upon reading this post, I sympathize with the OP. Even if she's a poor money managing ex prostitute (sorry), she is still entitled to a living wage by virtue of her being a human being and American Citizen. I'm not saying the wage should sustain her overly expensive lifestyle but any job she gets should allow her the freedom to spend her money in any way she sees fit, and not simply sustain her from shift to shift, giving her the bare minimum to eat and live before the government pays the rest.

This is less about her being spoiled (which she is), and more about a living wage for Americans being a necessity in 2014.

Almost $5,000 in expenses per month just to break even.

thats alot of dikk to take in a single month:mjcry:
For a normal person, maybe.
Not for a hoe.
Especially not for a Cali hoe.

You should see the glass hotel they have accross the street from the Staples center.

I don't understand complaining abt $ while having a smoking habit. I'd also drop the entitlement and pride. A person w/ no job skills nor education can't say what's beneath them, unless they are prepared to be on public assistance and live off of child support or selling p*ssy forever.
If you've been sustaining your lifestyle thus far w/ no job, how could it hurt to humble yourself and get a low wage job now and work yourself up to more $ later? And the bolded aren't necessities, ppl make sacrifices to make ends meet. I'd assume a "hustler" would understand that
