what's with all this hostility towards her??

my oversimplified budget is 25/25/25/25 of what's coming in
25% housing
25% insurance, transportation, other essential bills
25% food, entertainment, optional stuff
25% savings (or paydown of existing debt if that's the circumstances)
using some numbers, it is like you would need roughly $165,000 annual salary

for monethly take home of $10,000
just to maintain present lifestyle ($2500 housing, $2500 bills, ...??)
on other hand, if you downsized everything by 50%
if you had a job with $75,000 salary

everything would be golden
if you wanted to shrug off savings
(not advisible, but some people wait til kids are grown to start retirement prep)
you'd only need $55,000 salary

which should be doable to someone in nurse/medical profession
so even long-term, in a sunny future of steady employment in the $55-75k range
you are looking at a 50% reduction in living expenses
the father is helping- so that's a plus
but he might or might not be helping two years from now
so i don't factor him in the budget
or maybe he can be the 25% savings and half the food/entertainment
which would still require $45,000 salary
