I was cool with a bunch of Ethi dudes in college so I was never intimidated by them and knowing some culture and Amharic breaks right through their shell. One of my ADOS college friends married one.
I will say they are a bit like Indian chicks though and she wants a dude with education and good paper to bring home to the fam for easier acceptance. Though there are increasingly more hood Ethi chick's in the DMV.

I mentioned early in this thread that I dated one before back in the day. Well, I have a clear chance at one now. But I disappeared from where she works, back in December, right when she practically threw it on my lap. I saw her last week for the first time since, and she was pissed, and everybody around us could tell. I remember I asked her a while back where she was from, and she said Ethiopia. That's when I told her I dated one before. But I said nothing else about her. Anyway, I'm not going to get into what happened last week, or what she said. I'll just say she started talking something about cleanliness. I think she felt I looked down on her because she came from a poor country, like my ex. In fact, they were both from the capital of Ethiopia. Although that was a bad experience with that Ethiopian ex girlfriend, it had nothing to do with her in particular. Tbh, it was because she would be my third girlfriend from Africa, and I'm not sure about dating another girl from a different culture again. Not saying it's off the table, but once you tap one of them, and you're doing good, it can be very hard to get out of it. For anybody that remember about the relationship I had with that ex Ethiopian girlfriend, ask me how I know
