I was a huge Kanye fan before CD came out I was hyping it, but I'll agree he's completely changed up. I agree that all his albums sound different musically but that's not my beef. My problem is his lyrics are all floss now compared to his earlier stuff, there was a nice mixture of different content. Musically MBDTF was great but dude wasn't really saying nothing. Now after that he isn't say nothing and the flow is status..that song with Khaled/Ross and H*A*M are the perfect examples of how he switched. He hasn't progressed if anything he has regressed. He went from making music that made him standout compared to his peers..to doing Future type hooks and verses you would get from Rozay or Wayne.

Flip easy classic samples to composing something of higher complexity like All of the lights. Kanye was somewhat always on that stuntin sh!t......but in the CD and LR and even Graduation days, he mixed in a lot of soul beats and lyrical ability ( on tracks like Two Words and I Wonder, for example)

And he co-produced almost every track.

Otis was the only solo produced and that was just the simple sample flip he was doing 10 years ago. It's hard to have a co-producer on there.

Yes 15 months of greatness and yes he WAS the best MC imo as well, but he's been as since he dropped the Cool.

He had 14 months of greatness (not niceness) the period between his first and second album, everything else has ranged between wack and okay. If he doesn't step his game up he'll be nothing more than a Ras Kass. A dude who had a spark when he started but now well the rest is history.

Well millions of people can and love it (not just a million jokes, but also the most respected opinions in rap and music and general) what can I say?
People don't listen to Kanye to get the illest multis, the slickest flow or the most clever punchlines. They listen to him for his brilliant songs
, wittiness, cause they feel what he's saying, heartfelt verses and shyt like that.

But he can still do a 180 and hold his own in collabos with lyrical assassins like Clipse, Jay-z, Nas, Lupe and them.

MBDTF only had one song about flossing? So WTT wasn't majority floss either besides H*A*M? So all his leaks and from Cruel Summer haven't been floss (Way Too Cold/Mercy/New God Flow)? And I like I said it isn't just the flossing cause he always had that, but lyrically it's like he's not there anymore to me either. My opinion is my opinion you sound emotional.
