Wouldn't more coverage mean just as proportionate pick up of supporters than haters. He is covered more, after the Taylor incident, but ironically he gets more hate, that is all connected. TMZ covers him more because of Taylor.
White bloggers have pushed EVERY Kanye album, they are a small representation of the White population, if you could call a few 100 writers representative of the WHOLE White population.
Those same writers have sided with him on the BBC interview, it's the other much larger segment of ignorant Cacs and self-hating Blacks who have produced much more noise.
No because negativity always outshines all things positive on the Internet unless it involves stupid cats for some reason. People are much more likely to get fired up to leave a negative review online for a business than they are to leave a positive one. People will rant on Facebook about what is wrong with this country but rarely share stories like the kid who rented a stroller so his kid brother with cerebral palsy could finish a 5k marathon. People use the Internet to vent much more than they do to uplift generally speaking. Right now thousands of white bros are lifting weights in the gym to 'Stronger' and fukking loving it. Yeezus tour? Burning up ticket sales.
They are a small percentage of the white population but very influential as it moves across the board. There are taste makers and they wield a lot of power. You notice there is no mention of Kanye West's weak sales because everyone is talking about him pushing the envelope.
but these same artists also had white people buying their music, and supporting them behind the scenes. How are these individuals different from Ye?
I would say, just generally speaking, Kanye is much more self centered and materialistic compared to any of those artists not just in his celebrity life but also in his music.
Public Enemy wanted to fight the power and Kanye wants to be accepted by it.
