You claimed that inmates get luxury items such as 'cigarettes' and 'TV.' This means that they are afforded this by the U.S. government while they are incarcerated. Wrong. They don't get cigarettes, they get TV. You put the two together. They get TV because they are able to purchase one for their bid etc. Then you go and say "they get cigarettes," which leads me to think you lyin about doing a bid cause cigarettes been banned since 2006.

it doesn't just extend to prison rape which might be the least of it... it extends to prison murders, assaults, and illegal detention (think 10 years in the SHU in pelican bay for assaulting an officer)

This is an anecdote, but my homie was telling me how he saw several people get brutally murdered in pelican bay in front of cameras and nothing ever happened to the attackers

There are resources, but the resources are to put people in prison and not get them out. The law gives prosecutors and police departments way too much discretion.

look at prisons in norway, they live better than some of yall, they even have private bathrooms with ceramic tiles, and notice they have some of the lowest return rates in the world.

Along with prison sentences (ridiculously long sentences for minor non violent offenses). And as I mentioned before, prosecutors have way too much discretion. Prisoners are considered a sub caste. And by prisoners, I essentially mean black men (with black women being the highest growing female prison population). That's why people scoff at the idea of them enjoying even the smallest pleasures. They're animals in a cage.

Prison rapes are NOT allowed and very rarely happen.

If you are caught raping someone it is a serious infraction,but it rarely happens,there are enough guys that are willing to give it up,and even if you are caught having consensual sex you will get in trouble as well.

Alot of people get it confused with what they see in Movies and TV(MSNBC Lockup) mainly and most of the stuff they show on there is maximum security prisons,where people have broken rules and are locked down all day,or committed a violent crime,or a crime that gives you a long bid.

Lower levels are not like that, don't get me wrong prison is prison,but lower levels are easier to adjust to for the most part,because not all,but most cats in lower level facilities are going home soon or don't have much time.
