He’s been there for ten years, they are currently 11th in the east, and they have won 1 playoff series :dead:

How many people have got this type of leash with essentially no results? I haven’t even brought up the horrible coaches

Inherited a team with zero of their own picks and in three years turned it into a playoff team which was able to sign superstars (KD and Irving) and have other players request trades there..in short he turned them into a destination when people thought Nets would take 10 years to get out that situation. He did it in 3.

Kenny Atkinson was a great pick for a coach at the time but Vaughn and Nash na.

What he cannot do, is construct a fukking complete roster to save his life. Team is always missing something.

His strength is finding talent with little resources which is what i think they are banking on him doing a second time around.

Im indifferent about him being let go. Marks has his issues but the Nets real problem comes from the top. I wish owners could be voted out by fans.

given the situation they're back in, would you take that job? You shouldn't unless you get a lot of job security yourself.

Tsai is making the NY owner mistake of thinking his fans can't stomach a rebuild.
Sounds like Ted Leonsis until he wised up in April 2023 and eliminated the Ernie Grunfeld era after 20 years by jettisoning his student Tommy Sheppard.

Because they can't. The Nets are saved by the fact that they're one of the city's second class teams so New Yorkers don't care.

The biggest mistake Sean Marks made was a) Firing Kenny Atkinson no other coach was nearly as good.

b) Not trading Mikal Bridges and other players for picks.

He went all in to try and build a super team it's not his fault Kyrie was a liability. Harden was temperamental and KD is nearly not a leader.

Also I don't think there is another GM who wants the job.
