Very unique set of circumstances between the disaster he inherited from the Billy King trades, how efficiently he navigated that in a short span of time, and then how quickly they went from cashing that diligence in for KD/Kyrie to watching it all blow up for 50 different reasons.
Scrapping Atkinson for Nash because KD wanted him, gutting the roster for Harden because KD wanted him and then having to sell the big three because they all wanted out were franchise altering blunders but how can you blame him for any of them? Even their current predicament of spinning their tires in purgatory sounds more like a mandate from the owner than Marks refusing to tear it down. How he dug them out of the Billy King hole is why he still has a job and it's also the last time he was really allowed to navigate the ship.
