Venezuela play soccer?Alright ya'll need to stop
America is the richest nation in the world, with quite literally thousands upon thousands of sports/hobbies to watch and play. Why in the world do we have to be force fed a sport with people running back and forth that ends in a 0-0 tie? Fortunately for baseball, its 'America's Pastime', or that boring ass game would also be in the bushes.
Youre right- if rich and prospering nations like Brazil and Venezuela play soccer, something gotta be wrong with us right?Again, the expansion and popularity of soccer greatly coincides with the age of imperialism.
Look at Japan or China- which were largely independent during imperalism. While they enjoy soccer, it is certainly not their #1 sport.

Japan and China independant during imperialism?

Get yo facts correct, and then come at us, breh
The weirdest thing about soccer to me is which countries its not popular in. Basically the larger British colonies. Sports distribution is always interesting to me. Like why are motorsports and basketball so popular in Spain. Its obvious in places like Italy or Germany, but why Spain with motorsports? Why Baseball in Japan and Korea? Yes, soccer is popular, but its not the most popular everywhere. Consider its lack of popularity in India, China and the US. That's a huge chunk of the world population.
I think it's partially to do with colonialism but (and not to sound racist or anything
) mostly to with them not being physically strong enough, cos I know for a fact them Southeast Asian brehs absolutely love football, yet we have never had a a top level player come from those shores. I can only think of Raja Nianggolan, Giovanni Van Bronkhorst and David Alaba who are of southeast asian heritage.
Again, the expansion and popularity of soccer greatly coincides with the age of imperialism.
