Manziel will go before him :umad:
It's very possible especially after the combine, which will probably show Manziel to be a freak athlete, which he is.

I wouldn't worry about Teddy though. Falling in the draft could be good for him career wise, just like it was for Kaep and Russ.

exactly. I don't know why these guys have such an obsession over whether or not this kid goes number 1. It means little

I think Bridgewater might surprise people at the combine. He did an interview this week where he said he's running about a 4.5 in the forty and that Chris Weinke has made a slight tweak with his footwork that has him throwing with even more velocity. This is stuff you have to dig for because if you're not Johnny you're not getting the media slurpfest.

I don't doubt it. Like I said, I'm not worried about him at all. He's as polished as a incoming college QB is going to get.

Get ready for Money Manziel in houston

Well I like Johnny quite a bit so I'd be ok with that but I just don't see it happening for a number of reasons. I think both him and Teddy will be good qbs in the NFL. It seems like I have the polar opposite opinion from what most others are saying on two things: I don't think Manziel is a boom or bust guy. I don't see him being a flat out bust, average at worst. My second unpopular opinion is that I Teddy has more upside. Most think Manziel has more potential due to physical skills but I think at qb what Teddy brings to the game from a mental standpoint is what gives him the best chance at one day becoming an elite qb. The biggest thing that would make me uncomfortable about picking Johnny would be if the Jags pick Teddy at 3. Tbh I don't want the Jags to end up with either one of them.

In regards to Mel Kiper, he made his name during a time where nobody really covered the draft. Plus he had connections, so you got information that wasn't otherwise available to you. But now, he's just another ESPN tool that caters to the prospect of the moment as much as possible to create the most hits and viewers for the company. His argumentative dialogues he has with Todd McShay are so forced. It's just for TV, so they can hype up random prospects to get viewership.

He has great tape, the only thing he can do is show what he does in film is no different in practice form.
