Above the fray.
respect and brotherhood. Knowing nikkas wont dare try bc they know the time you're on. The bytches loved it too...

I remember when my boy got cheated on. And we looked everywhere for the dude Who fcked his girl. now that i think about I thank god we aint find him.
Oh, ok. thanks.

To give my answer the question in OP.....seems as though dudes from that background only saw one side of the game. Comfortable suburban setting with no real danger. Easy to method act as a street dude.

Dudes were from the environments where the activity took place grew up around actual wolves, and learned early on that they were NOT that. Also saw the consequence and damage of street life first hand. People, homes, cars robbed, stray shots, people they knew getting killed and locked up.

There's a lot of answers and different factors for all these things,

speaking personally, was hustling pretty hard at like 16, few thousand to a few hundred, could buy whatever I wanted within 16 year old world, alcohol, weed, hotel rooms, taco shop, and the sense of independence, financial freedom, it gives a child, is very very intoxicating

factor in coming from lower income families

Value system places cred really high. Brothers need a new perspective on life. Being a crash dummy had been highly elevated and celebrated for too long. We need to look at that shyt like it's goofy because most of it is. How many Street dudes today would even get an episode of American gangsta. When is the last time you heard of a street dude that was a mastermind or kingpin? Were celebrating goons and foot soldiers. Literal crash dummies. No longer bosses.

Even the aspirations are low as far as streets go.
Most of the mafioso street culture we glorify comes from people who don’t look like us. Examples being The Mafia, Cartels, Pablo Escobar

Young black men need to realize being a “gangsta” isn’t like the movies. There’s a bunch of antonyms that surrounds itself with the identity. Dealing with enemies, shootouts, your family being targeted, having a record.

And we as a whole need to stop ostracizing brothas from the suburbs as “not black enough”. We need to stop equating living in the suburbs as corny.

Being in the hood is depressing if there’s no paper route for success. Not forgetting the infamous crab and the bucket mentality that holds our people back from moving forward.

Subconscious programming of women as the eyes are the window into a woman's soul.

If women were pushed to like men from more favorable backgrounds, then they choose better.

If black men knew black women PREFERRED square dudes, all this goes out the window. Especially in the later years of development (11-17)

in light Gill's kid passing away. (Rip to the breh)

I think majority of coli have been there. When we young, parents are middle class, but the street sht just appealed a lot more.

if i aint move out of miami, god knows where id be right now. Is it culture?
Women....that's the only reason. If women wasn't flocking then then boys wouldn't be joking to ride in criminality.

Women think criminal minded men are the Apex of Masculinity plus their lifestyle wouldn't bore the infantile jesus freaks of black women.

For MANY black men ( NOT ALL FOR THE READING IMPAIRED)

It’s the belief that you will be this well known and feared dude in the community , bytches will love you, everyone wants to be like you and you not selling out your people :francis::mjlol:

Majority of these nikkas in the streets, pay rent , live in granny house or shacking up on some single mom couch and don’t own shyt from property to even a fukkin car

I’ve seen gang members with street cred from the 80s till now all over Inglewood to Compton , all end up in the same boat…. Dead, in jail, or on mama front porch or in front of the gas station or store talking about the past and how they use to fukk sexy looking Dee Dee in the whip and drive the nicest car in the city.. the same city u said u run , put u away for 15 to 20 years..

Like I tell the youngsters.. fukk the streets u want to be on the highway

Gillie was probably on the road a lot and wasn’t making $ like we think to shield his son from that influence

The thing is with some of these rappers is that they’re so psychologically broken that they raise their children heavily around the element even if they live in upscale communities. A lot of them raise their sons to be their mini mes. U see it with G Herbo, Young Thug, Finesse2Tymes, Meek, etc. That’s gonna lead to negative outcomes
