Why is the colorism discussion always centered on dating?

Why is it that colorism is only ever brought up in regards to dating and attraction, and never the fact that dark skins are killed by police more often and receive harsher prison sentences because of the same hyper-masculine stereotypes that are supposedly an “advantage” for straight black males?

HELL
This is complete nonsense

All it says is "chance of arrest". Under what circumstances were arrests happening?

What are the criteria for skin color here?

Any random person could've made up this chart out of thin air.

How are you this naive?

Gonna need a source, breh. You're really saying darkskins get better treatment from police than lightskins...

Colorism is brought up regarding the entertainment industry, politics, and the workplace as well.
Sure. The better question to ask is why is it mostly brought about dating? And the answer is simple.

Kind of a smart dumb topic thread but here we go.

Black women are statistically are around 1 % of police homicide cases.

And not locked up as often as black men, although darker complexioned black women according to a study get harsher sentences than lighter complexioned black women.

Because IMO the conversation is mostly online which skews younger and female.

Like Op said darker men deal with more arrests, longer prison sentences, job discrimination, lower grades in school, banking discrimination ....

things that really affect people's lives rather than trivial stuff like dating choices.
