Why is the finals MVP trophy nicer than the regular season MVP trophy?

The regular season MVP race is 82 games the Finals is 4-7 games yet the regular season MVP trophy is uglier.

I understand this one effectively means you're a champ, but remember Jerry West winning this beautiful trophy for a series he never won... For one series not even the whole playoffs. Then you have role players winning it the last two years even though Kwahi is a star now.

It should really be the Playoffs MVP trophy or at least the regular season trophy needs to look nicer.

Its not. Its just that getting is more symbolic regarding how far you came in the post season. Finals MVP is significantly easier to get than MVP as its only during the course of 1 series, against 10-12 potential players. Being able to win the Finals MVP is sought after because it means your team got to the finals and won on the biggest stage which means more than the trophy itself. You could avg 20 and win a Finals MVP. Would never happen in League MVP. Its the Ferrari gift bag you get when you purchase a new Ferrari. The gifts arent a better quality than the nicest bag you own but simply having means the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
