Why is the finals MVP trophy nicer than the regular season MVP trophy?

It was designed to be held up alongside the championship trophy. It looks almost like a miniature version of it. And as @Reinscarf said it is relatively new.

being the main reason your team wins an nba championship is WAY more important than being the best in the regular season
