the nba should take a page of their book and try and claim it's own days. it's nearly impossible for the average fan to keep up with everything that happens in the nba because there's so much happening.

what if all teams played tuesday and friday only, with 2 primetime games on tnt thursday in between. so each team only plays twice a week. the rest of the week can be spent practicing, resting and healing up.

games would be much more high quality.

Well NBA day was always thursday on tnt thats why they always have the marquee matchup double headers that night and inside the nba is how i caught up on anything else that happened during the week but the NFL jumped in on that shyt.

Besides gambling like everybody said could it also be the alcohol sponsorship??? Budweiser has big promo $$ in football and baseball. Cacs love beer and those are the sports where u really dont have to be super ripped or above 6'4 to compete

As opposed to all those f*cking flags in a NFL game They just had a 66 yard pass interference penalty in the Loins/Packers game for crying out loud. Don't bring up penalties and refs cause the NFL is the absolute worst when it comes to this. You absolutely have to be in incredible shape to play in the NFL. The only guys who are fat are the o-lineman and they are all 6'5"+ and 300+ pounds. Normal people can't relate to them.

The guys on defense are all shredded and fast.

The skill positions are all shredded and or tall and crazy athletic.

No one draws in the summer time in general and the NBA does a great job to draw at that time in the year.

Even the volume of coli posting goes down in the summer.
So, that is just a natural part of life that affects the NBA draw.

Also race plays the biggest part in this as well.
As the nfl allow the fans to get lost in reality with helmets and uniforms.

Look at the off field incidents of the NFL vs the NBA...they arent even in the same stratosphere....NFL incidents numerically dwarf those of the NBA

Basketball was a 4 team league back then if you watched TV. The other teams weren't televised at all. League pass never would have worked back then, a lot of teams struggled to have their games televised in their local area.

Comparing it to a time when the NBA only showcased a couple teams and then had those teams face each other in the finals every year... Why do you think NBA salaries are going crazy now if the 80s were more popular?
