Most cacs don't like the NBA because of the "attitude" aka... Black men running the show.

Whitlock was talking about this back in the day but went into left field with it. He talked about how baseball, hockey and football have players the viewers can relate to because they see some of them as normal size people. Whitlock talked about how a male reporter covering basketball for a living got low self esteem after being in so many basketball locker rooms and it even broke up his marriage because his wife told him she dated a tall basketball player before him. Long story short Whitlock made it seem like large penis envy is why the NBA will never be number one in ratings. I think Whitlock was just projecting his own insecurity onto the average sports viewer. The same way he writes about the black experience from his own perspective even if most of us disagree with him.

I don't even know how someone could even question why football is more popular.

Personally, I would watch a Nuggets/Pelicans game over the Superbowl but the NFL has been a staple for so long. The NFL defines Sunday sports, then they grabbed Monday, now they have Thursday. College has Saturday and they are also pulling in Thurs and Friday.

I don't see basketball ever touching that.

the nba should take a page of their book and try and claim it's own days. it's nearly impossible for the average fan to keep up with everything that happens in the nba because there's so much happening.

what if all teams played tuesday and friday only, with 2 primetime games on tnt thursday in between. so each team only plays twice a week. the rest of the week can be spent practicing, resting and healing up.

games would be much more high quality.
