There is only one next gen console freezing, bricking, resetting among other things right now and it got released no problem. Infact most people don't care...microsoft needs to hurry up with those

Both consoles have those issues. Nothing has suggested that the problems are wide spread.
Series x released with an incomplete dev kit that's causing poor optimization with game development. They should have pushed it back if it wasn't ready.
Releasing after Sony would have been devastating. Wasn't an option. In the video game world when your product isn't ready you push it out the door anyway and fix it later.
They were never gonna outsell the ps5 and these early comparisons arent doing the series x any favors. They would have been better off releasing the system when it was ready and the differences were more obvious.

I've seen a lot of takes on this "theory". A lot of people aren't buying the idea that the dev tools are responsible for a lack of optimizations. A change in the tools would prolong the process of optimization, not make it not existent. But we'll see how the next major multi-plat performs.
