not to mention the massive lead PS5 will have by then and continue adding on to.
this is really not a closable gap. Xbox players just gotta be happy eating off past generations and mid-tier gamepass exclusives at this point. They don't have any 90+ rated console exclusives from last gen, even all the studios they acquired don't have 90+ rated games from last gen.

one thing you learn from PC gaming is that specs don't equal performance
those new AMD cards got way higher clock speeds then the 3080, but it does absolutely nothing for the performance
and the x box series X isn't that much more powerful than the ps5 anyway, so optimization can easily close that cap and get better performance

Bad example. Sony and MS are using SoCs from the same manufacturer and generation. If they asked AMD for the same thing, they would have the exact same hardware.
What are you even talking about, we're talking about specs in general
on Paper Microsoft is superior but it doesn't translate from performance

I can use 3090 compared to the 3080 which are both NVIDIA is the same thing, the 3090 has more compute units but on some games there is no difference in all in performance

You compared AMD cards with Nvidia, apples and oranges. MS and Sony are both using AMD RDNA2 (kinda in Sony's part), to make it simple.

The best part is seeing all these "stans" (people) talk about how much they are enjoying playing exclusives that came out the last 4 years.
Sony is amazing, I'm finally getting around to playing GOW, Day's gone, spider man, TLOU 1 remasterd and horzion and 
I'd never get an another system they have no games
