can someone please explain the 2008 playoffs.

people say tim is more impactful, make his teammates better, and just a better player overall but he lost to Kobe. Kobe pulled the team from 2 +17 deficits to win the series 4-1. that dead the argument to me, it was obvious who was the more impactful player. there was nothing Tim could do to combat the scoring and determination of Kobe. Timmy, Tony, and Manu were all playing all all-star caliber that season too.

There's nothing to explain. Kobe took a giant shyt on the Spurs repeatedly in that series as he almost always did in the playoffs.

More than half a decade ago, how the mighty have fallen :russ:

Lets talk about last year, and the year before that, or this year for that matter. When's the last time Kobe saw the second round, I won't even ask when he won a ring :smugbiden:

so despite the fact that Kobe is always going off on San Antonio and being a primary reason he's beat Timmy 4-2 in the playoffs..people still like to consider Tim more impactful of a player . I dont get it

nope lets talk about 2008, the last time the two played each other. Tim was 31, Kobe was 29. teams were about equal. Lakers 4-1.

What's there to talk about? :lupe:

You went from constantly talking about "5>4" to now being like "Hey, forget that, lets talk about what happened 6 years ago" :russ:

Kobe tore his Achilles last year to avoid the sweep :mjpls:

The best team the Spurs had to beat for a ring was the 2005 Pistons. Let that sink in.

You think that was Tim powering those teams? :laff:

Kobe was still making NBA 1st Teams while Tim was sitting at home playing WoW in his basement. Pop was the reason the Spurs were/are going deep in the playoffs these past few years, not Timmy. :gladbron:

Tim was 1st team All-NBA last year :smugbiden:

This year, more presently he won a title, while Kobe was looking extra :flabbynsick: in the 6 games he played THIS YEAR.

When did you cop a Delorean @JKFrazier, I never knew you lived in the past :smugfavre:

First time in 6 seasons. :mjlol:

Pop used Tim like a house slave, keeping him away from the elements while Kobe worked in the fields with a basket on his back. Scust at him being sat down for significant parts of his team's season while Tony slaves away. :scusthov:

I copped the DeLorean to go the future too, where I saw Kobe celebrated as a greater player than Tim Duncan. :ahh:

He dethroned the Lakers in 2003

Just dethroned the two time champs with the best player in the world

New Jersey Nets, Cleveland Cavaliers, and New York Knicks weren't up to par of course. But it's not his fault :troll:
