No they don't :heh:

Yes it does

At What Point during Duncan's Career can you say he was the undisputed best player in the League?

He's sustained excellence makes him the best player since MJ, he didn't peak the way Shaq, Kobe and Bron did.

It's because of the ambiguity of what his position is, is he a C or PF?

GOAT PF but is he better than Shaq, Hakeem, Kareem, Wilt?

Plus no B2B's hurt him.
Got nothing to do with that. It's two reasons:

He never was embraced by the media, and fans.

Big men are always undervalued, while their is a perimeter bias in the media. Shaq, Dream, Wilt, Kareem - none of them get mentioned in these conversations.

Duncan is an all time great HOFer but I NEVER heard anyone say they trying to play like Duncan :russ::manny:

It's gotta be his game. Plus bigs get kinda downplayed because of their size advantage. Not fair but it is what it is.

That has nothing to do with winning back-to-back.

Also to further clarify, I meant people I know. If you got people who say they wanna play like Duncan, instead of guards... I bet it's still a small percentage.

Duncan was fighting Shaq, Iverson, Kidd, C Webb, and KG for his MVPs. Crazy competition for it then.

not really. he was lucky kobe and shaq were on the same team taking votes away from one another. that allowed him to sneak in and take 2 MVPs. in the early 00s both Kobe and Shaq were better. and they proved it by thumping the Spurs in the playoffs.

Add Kobe and Shaq's votes in '02 and you don't win the MVP

Add Kobe and Shaq's votes in '03 and you still don't win the MVP.
