nikkas talking about "its not that simple" when even Brazilian favelas are safe now that the gangs have been ran out. you got shanty towns in brazil safer than chicago overnight. It's not poverty, poor hard working people are not the problem, its the gangs. plain and simple. I wouldn't recommend arming folks to combat them, that's dangerous. but snitching, and teaching the next gen that snitching is good, is a start.

You think a gang can set up shop in a suburb? terrorize white folks like that? hell nah, you know why? cause they tellin. You could have a meth lab, trap house in the hood and no one will say a word, but if your white neighbor catches even an unfamiliar scent of spoiled cheese, that nikka callin the cops. How is it, white people do more drugs than black people, and technically speaking you'd make more money selling drugs to middle class folks with dough and no rivals in sight IN the burbs, but the gangs are in the poor area surrounded by rivals instead? One is safe for them to operate, the other isn't. they'd rather be around rivals, than set up shop in a safe suburb where their operation will be shut down before it even starts.

It's the same story, "I aint have no dad, the gang was my family, I seen them nikkas with nice cars, gold grills, rims, and I wanted to be just like them" It's a never ending cycle. Take the gangs out, and these kids will be forced to look for an alternative. Demonize the gangs, not glorify them. If you take the gangs out, you can actually have more community centers. You can build a shyt load of community centers, but if these kids see the gangs, and how much money they're making, you'll always have more kids in gangs than the centers. The gangs are counter productive to the centers, you have to remove the gangs in order for the centers to work. All these programs yall talkin about, they aint going to work if the gangs are there.....

Yes actually, rural america is safe as fukk, show me trailer park statistics, check out how many murders there are. I've been to places like Redding CA, biker haven, and it was safe for regular folks, criminal organizations typically keep their battles within. Eugene Oregon, meth town, safe ( people look sick as fukk tho), Mason Ohio rural white people, still safe, and actually pretty clean.

I've been all around this country, even meth infested areas like Eugene Oregon (which is the worst city I've ever been too), but other than someone breaking into my car, I didn't really feel any threat. There were no no go to zones. Crime was restricted to petty theft and drug abuse.

Are you telling me that rural america is worse than black communities? well then if that's the case black folks must be living good, why are we having this discussion then my nikka? black people living that good ol american dream right? aint nothing wrong with the black community, kids ain't dying out there, gangs aren't a problem, it's white people that have a gang problem.

My lil cousin who's locked up right now, I been trying to tell him how to get out the jungles..... before he was even 18 he was already saying "man them crackers aint gonna hire me" before he had a rap sheet and was of age to even apply for jobs. He already gave up before he even tried I never had that defeatist attitude, my parents always told me I could do whatever I wanted because "I" was that nikka. A lot of these young bucks feel defeated before highschool, they see the world around them and see no way out, no hope. It's hella crazy.

I honestly think it was the gang that put that in his mind, it for damn sure couldn't have been school. That and he saw all the poverty around and felt the unjust. that shyt takes a toll on some folks mentally.

but whats crazy is, my other cousins, who also live in the same hood, are now attending santa monica college, one is in tech school to be a pharmacy tech. one joined a gang, the other just did what they were supposed to do and is now interning, when I asked her if she thought she would get hired, she said "why not?". notice the 2 different mentalities. crazy. One didn't even try, the other tried and is succeeding effortlessly.

Man, I be saying if I'm ever blessed financially, one of my main goals would be to take at least 50 out of the cycle. It may not be much in the grand scheme of things, but if I can put a program in place where I can give 50 kids a chance to get out and create a foundation where they can start a family outside of that cycle and give their off spring a start with way better odds than they had, then I'd be happy.
