So true about BIGbig did
obv he wouldnt have kept it up if he lived

At first I thought that said Sadat XSadly X last crackish episodes has left a lasting impression for people who don't comprehend his
impact when he dropped his first four albums. He's a legend in my eyes. And, an Unsung Hip-Hop hero, for bringing that raw shyt back in the late 90s/early 00s![]()

He's way better than Pac, never as good as Biggie though

You are known for dumb ass threadslame ass nikka

How are you going to ask why he's not talked about like Biggie and Pac when he has no music or anything else to talk about for years and years?
He is "basically retired" because he can't make new music people care about. While Pac was dead for 15 years and still managed to put out songs people would pay attention to.

people REALLY didnt care about those posthumous pac albums like that. if he was alive putting those songs out, he wouldve been tagged as
if big & pac were alive, they wouldve been in the same boat. dmx is where hes supposed to be.
btw, dmx called his retirement when he was still poppin. grand champ was his retirement album. granted, rappers never actually retire but you get the point.....i hope.

I think all he would have do is have a decent level of consistency. nas and jay are still considered top(in mainstream eye).....even em releases straight pop rap trash and still gets votes from hip hop heads from time to time due to "way back albums and freestyles".
just admit dmx fell off bad bruh. of course em has skin color/pop sales work for him but nas/jay still get a lot of praise from mainstream too as goats. shyt, fans(not stans) don't even think nas and jay new shyt is up to par with their old shyt, but to them its still a decent album.
to me em and dmx fell off the hardest out of the late 90's/early 2000's rap acts that were mainstream at the time. also if he died he could be on big pun or big L level or he could be even lower. shyt we never know how life gonna work out if you wanna be real about it.
shyt WHY AINT BIG PUN ON BIGGIE LEVEL LEGACY WISE?
pac and big level of legacy is not only due to greatness but due to street issues and the way they died VIOLENTLY. it kinda just shocked the world and its still so many mysteries that surround that shyt.
Also remember that a lot pac work is not the way he wanted it.I think 7 day theory did come out after he died which is considered a classic, so cant say his posthumous albums are not cared about. Now if you say that 2000- releases....then yeah...but a lot of that stuff isn't the way pac wanted it anyways, even though they had a few gems here and there. Don't get me started on the Eminem produced trash and them manipulating pac's voice to say g-unit n shyt.![]()
rappers that are still around in the public eye, are only still there because of politics or 'playing the game' in some form.theserappers that are still around in the public eye, are only still there because of politics or 'playing the game' in some form.
who cares how hard dmx fell off? he had a huge 5 album run, plus compilations & legendary tours. what the hell else do yall want?
i dont know man. ive been around long enough to remember when you could drop a hot ass album and still be looked at as 'fallen off'. and you would be lucky just to get a 3 album run. my outlook is just different and un-skewed. thats why i never got caught up in the pac & big mythology. i doubt they wouldve made it thru the '90s on-top.
bruh..its a lot of dmx fans who got him up there. what do you want? do you want dmx to be revered world wide?
well maybe people think dmx first two albums are not better than bigs 2 first albums....pound for pound straight up. I guess that's a discussion.

Moral of the story is, if you die at the peak of your popularity you'll be considered a goat.
If you live long enough for people to see your downfall, what you did in your prime will be disregarded and theyll act like your prime music isnt goat worthy even tho they were probably dikkriding on the bandwagon when u were in your prime.
Only one rapper who's still alive and active today that I see consistently get brought up into goat conversations and thats Jay-Z.. because although his music is trash now he's kept his name relevant by standing next to the right people over the years
