This. I’ve shared blunts, broken bread and even turned up with a few pro brehs. They all say the same shyt. Brehs agents actually discourage them from it too. Can’t move wifey and the gits down, and she won’t let him live there alone either. nikkas know they won’t be able stay focused here. One of the things that made ATL a heavy weight in Black America is what also hurts it in sports.

I hear what you're saying but my thing is: Many players make this their offseason home and if the Hawks were a better franchise I have a hard team seeing a high profile player turn down an offer to play here. BTW, Miami, LA, NY, Houston all hae their share of groupie thots & high profile FAs don't turn them down. I think our problems are more basketball related than anything off the court

Lol you're the only person who would say something absurd like this. The last few years doesn't take away the other 40 years where the Falcons were complete and utter garbage and couldn't achieve back to back winning seasons until less than a decade ago. Remember what a shythole Fulton County Stadium was? Remember when the Thrashers left town in less than 15 years with only one playoff appearance and not a single playoff win? Remember when the Braves were mismanaged to the point that Bobby Cox could only win 1 title with them?

Name me 5 players current NBA players who care about the 1990s Braves winning 1 title, know or care about the Falcons prior to Blank/Vick showing up or even know what happened to the Atlanta Thrashers. Current ballplayers care about the current environment for winning (roughly the last 5-7 years), who is gonna sit here and say they're not choosing to play in Atlanta with the Hawks because Fulton County Stadium used to be by what was Turner Field 20 plus years ago? :dwillhuh:

Why would an NBA All Star level player who's trying to compete for an NBA title care about any of the shyt you just mentioned?

:yeshrug: A multimillionaire NBA player can make Salt Lake City off da chain for at least one night with the right party.

Why would they even need to do that? It'd be dope as fukk to be able to make millions in a city with loyal fans...and not have to worry about the fukkery that comes with a nightlife like Atlanta's.

But take away dominique wilkins atlanta has never really had a top star, mutumbo, smith (steve and josh), millsap were allright but not that next level like dominique.

Can't even tell the last big free agent they ever signed or if ever

Joe Johnson's contract says otherwise.
