Why isn’t the history of the Arab (Muslim) Slave Trade more well known and discussed?

Real talk. From what ive gathered alot of africans, mostly eastern, strongly dislike arabs. However due to the religion being involved i think thats why
alot of people dont like to talk about it and will probably just deny most of it anyway.

The Arab slave trade inslaved Africans, arabs, whites, indians, Chinese etc. everyone was a slave, it wasn’t just limited to black people which is different than the North Atlantic slave trade were it was primarily Africans. In Islam despite enslaving Africans, Africans were able to rise into high positions among the various Islamic empires. This was untrue of Western Christianity until the last 75 years or so.

Why do y’all want to associate slavery with black people so bad :mjtf:fukk do you mean we need to teach this in schools. I swear some of y’all just want our history to consists of slavery or getting fukked over by nonblack people

Just took a class that covered history of Afro Diaspora this past spring and Muslims did some fukked up shyt to Black people. The slave narratives were heart breaking.

@Goldenmeruem what you said is correct. But black slaves who converted to Islam were still enslaved. Same as the American slaves who converted to christianity were still enslaved.

Only issue is the white Christians who enslaved blacks based on race were going against the teachings and example set by the Bible and life of Jesus

Muslims who specifically designated Africans/Blacks as slaves or less than whites were still seen as following rules of islam
And the example set by Muhammad in the Koran

It’s like Islam justified the Arab slave trade, solidified it in the culture and propelled Anti Blackness it forward as it spread throughout North Africa/Europe/Asia

Arabs and Arabized Amazigh (Berbers) torment Black North Africans.

I spoke to a chick who was a Tebou of Libya and she said that Arabs are racist as hell. Another guy from Algeria (who was a dark skinned, kinky haired Amazigh) mentioned the extensive racial abuse his people experience at the hands of white skinned Arab-influenced Amazigh. Lastly, I recall a story about a Nubian Pan-Africanist chick I knew back in college who despised being from Southern Egypt. She says Arab Egyptians have called her an interloper and have told her to “go back to Sudan” despite being her family being in Egypt for millennia. Such bullshyt.

I have so many stories of black people in North Africa being abused, trafficked, killed and exploited. Arab culture has been as damaging as European culture to native African people. We (as Black Africans) must push back against Arab colonialism and violence’s we must push for the education to happen. Black Africans must control their own narrative and destiny. Decolonization is a lengthy and painful process but it must be done for African liberation.

In the video it says as a rule ONLY Black Africans were permitted to still be made slaves even after converting to Islam

So in many cases while it appeared to be a “accept Islam or be come a slave” ultimatum for most non Arabs in the Arab world, for Africans the Koran justified Slavery regardless.

Africans previously who had adopted Christianity never faced this issue by fellow non black believers unless I’m mistaken

Yea slavery existed before Islam in the region but it seems Muslims were the first to tie it to race and spread it on larger/global scale through “religion”

3 reasons....

Black muslims won't touch this topic because it would offend their arab brothers.... Black muslims also built the most famous black societies to ever exist besides ancient egypt.... and the arab slave trade never stopped.

At one point - Black muslim men were the wealthiest and most powerful men on the planet and many of them are proud of this fact.

Its a unique and multi-layered history.

Good luck trying to explain that to an African Muslim.

They will die for Islam.

The topic is too sensitive.

They enslaved none Muslims, which ranged from Africans, to Asians to europeans.

Though slavery is severely limited in Islam as you're only allowed to enslave war prisoners.

Islamic slavery is mostly used to downplay the transatlantic slavery trade, but make no mistakes that shyt was child play compared to cattle slavery.
Arabs were known to castrate male slaves to make eunuchs

And the turks are funboys...Mehmet II had a harem of young boys.

Are you serious? Africans that adopted Christianity weren’t even seen as humans. What do you mean they never faced this issue :mjtf:Yes a lot of the slavery that had happened in the Arab slave trade was excused by the curse of ham story. But, correct me if I’m wrong, slaves in the Arab slave trade had mobility. For example, if your father was a slave, you wouldn’t be a slave. You could be a merchant or some other worker. Compared to the North Atlantic where if your father is a slave then you would be a slave then your kids so on and so forth.fukk both of them

They were the ones that gave cacs the routes to navigate most of Africa which subsequently gave them to upper hand in their conquest. Arabs disgusting anti-blackness is still live and well today. Sand cacs are on even playing field with cacs in terms of being opps to us. It's just that they don't write history and aren't control of the media like anglo crakkas so they get to go under the radar for any real damnation like folks openly throw at cacs.:manny:
