Why isn’t the history of the Arab (Muslim) Slave Trade more well known and discussed?

It's just that they don't write history and aren't control of the media like anglo crakkas so they get to go under the radar for any real damnation like folks openly throw at cacs.:manny:

Also Muslims are more militant.

Cacs get shook and start apologizing lmfaooo

Muslims stand on their square and might kill you in the name of Allah.

Are you serious? Africans that adopted Christianity weren’t even seen as humans. What do you mean they never faced this issue :mjtf:Yes a lot of the slavery that had happened in the Arab slave trade was excused by the curse of ham story. But, correct me if I’m wrong, slaves in the Arab slave trade had mobility. For example, if your father was a slave, you wouldn’t be a slave. You could be a merchant or some other worker. Compared to the North Atlantic where if your father is a slave then you would be a slave then your kids so on and so forth.fukk both of them

Not trying to be rude, but did you even watch the entire video?

And I’m not talking about Transatlantic Christianity. I’m talking Christians in east Africa, Egypt, Yemen etc

Christianity spread and existed in Africa/Middle East region willingly without involving white people or slavery. You do understand this right?

And Christians weren’t enslaving/selling Africans to Europe prior to Arab Muslims coming and starting the slave trade, correct me if I’m wrong?

Any Christian at the time enslaving another Christian Black or not wouldn’t be considered a “true” Christian

But Black/African slavery was the standard and accepted within Arab and Muslim society and a big business in Islamic counties according to the video

And it’s one reason why there’s so much anti blackness and racism among Arabs today even WITHIN the Muslim religion

But from a Western perspective you wouldn’t expect Arabs to as racist or in some cases even MORE racist than Whites historically

For starters it was NEVER abolished. They still refer to brehs as Slaves and places like Sudan still have generations of enslaved people. Then in the middle east they moved on to the practise of holding foreign workers ransom. Hiring women from Philippines, East Africa and using them like slaves including raping them and working them all day with little time off while keeping them hostage in the country.

There are many reasons why and complacency might be the biggest. For starters Africans have not held them accountable as much as we did Whites.

They send Black women back to Africa in coffins and we still can't convince Africans not to go work there. That's on us.

If it came up organically, I think more adults would be informed or fascinated, and at best appalled. However, it usually only comes up as a deflection when speaking about black American/transatlantic slavery.

I converted because I believe in Islam. So separating God's will from human fallacy has been easy for the most part. The history is interesting to me so I'm gonna check out the vid. Lot of interesting stuff in this thread.

You do know that at least 50% of those Arabs were also black themselves rigth?

Depends on what your definition of “Black” is

Let’s just call them non African Muslims “coloured” or “Ishmaelite” as Muhammad probably would claim to be :mjpls:

We could talk about what the word “Arab” means to begin with, but y’all aren’t ready for that discussion and it would take a whole new thread to get in that issue. :youngsabo:

Which makes this slave trade slightly more layered than simply white man taking black man

Also you gotta look at how Arabs viewed African Muslims.

The Arab traveller Ibm Battuta and we could deduce other Arabs felt the same back then held these thoughts.

"Ibn Battuta disapproved of the fact that female slaves, servants, and even the daughters of the sultan went about exposing parts of their bodies not befitting a Muslim.[144] He wrote in his Rihla that black Africans were characterised by "ill manners" and "contempt for white men", and that he "was long astonished at their feeble intellect and their respect for mean things." :mjpls:

So Arabs feel superior to us despite the muslism connection that is why they have no.problem enslaving us.

The Arab slave trade inslaved Africans, arabs, whites, indians, Chinese etc. everyone was a slave, it wasn’t just limited to black people which is different than the North Atlantic slave trade were it was primarily Africans. In Islam despite enslaving Africans, Africans were able to rise into high positions among the various Islamic empires. This was untrue of Western Christianity until the last 75 years or so.

Why do y’all want to associate slavery with black people so bad :mjtf:fukk do you mean we need to teach this in schools. I swear some of y’all just want our history to consists of slavery or getting fukked over by nonblack people
False equivalency. The word for brehs is literally slave for those dudes so as much as they kept everyone in bondage they didn't treat us all the same. Arabs castrated Black male slaves they didn't do that to white and Chinese. They raped out women. Most Arab Black DNA is from Black women by a huge margin because of their rape culture which still continues today.

It's always a problem discussion oppression here because people turn it into a competition of who suffered more. You are downplaying Arabic slavery to what end?

Arabs and Berbers continue the culture of Enslaving Black Africans in North Africa TODAY who try to make passage to Europe. But you think it's irrelevant history when it's still current events.

No one really cares + Islam makes it very easy to c00n.

I know a few black Muslims that be on the “we are the world” bullshyt when random brown mfers be looking at em in disgust, saying all types of shyt under they breath, and doing fukk shyt when they step into random mosques

But other than that Arabs are the ones who actually created anti-blackness. Africans in those countries are basically slaves treated worse than cattle.
