Why isn’t the history of the Arab (Muslim) Slave Trade more well known and discussed?

Facts, if you from or have East African descent then it’s already understood that sand cacs are the opps. Sure, there might be a tiny handful that’s actually cool but for the most part they still on that fukk shyt. I can safely say that the Arab slave trade and then later European imperialism are two major factors for why the region is beset with identity issues, especially in the Horn/Sudan.

If I described to you the process of castration (which mostly involved very young boys) y’all would hate them too. Notice btw, how unlike the diaspora in the New World the African diaspora from Turkey to India is barely visible. They were luxury items to these cac sultans they were beyond expendable and for the most part they didn’t want a lot of procreation going on since they didn’t run plantation societies. The few areas that did had to deal with rebellions. To think, East Africans embraced Islam and took in Muhammad’s persecuted followers while most Arabs were pagans and tryna kill the prophet and his early followers. The first call to prayer was done by an Ethiopian but out of all Africans they have the most contempt for us.

And what’s most frustrating is that just like Christianity, it allows outsiders the opportunity to practice cultural superiority/hegemony on Africa and African descendant peoples which delays the process of healing that needs to be undertaken following hundreds of years of destructive actions on the continent and it’s people. Even today, Ethiopian Muslims and even non-Muslims, are traveling in droves to Arabia to make themselves 2nd and 3rd class citizens. If they somehow make it, they get abused and held hostage as maids, worked to death as laborers, and die “mysteriously” since their whole being is practically owned by their Arab sponsors.

fukk outta here, I’m African centered. If a breh wants to become Muslim that’s they journey but don’t do it because it provides you a form of liberation that European Christianity can’t because it’s the same shyt and got the same blood on its hands.
All facts. My family used to be mad as shyt when I drop in and go to get gas/snacks then turn straight around when i see its an Arab/Asian inside (we have designated spots now, with black or half-black clerks and owners).

Arabs are too comfortable being passively disrespectful to brehs, seen it growing up so now that I'm older if i have to stop in I'm as distant and unapproachable as possible. Ironically it makes them fascinated :mjlol: . I keep my interactions as Black as possible but white or arab i cut especially short, too much smoke history wise. To think their disrespectful behavior is possible because the Moors helped these clowns:

They did and still do in the Arab world. Anti-blackness is deep. Most people darker than a paper bag are the permanent underclass, basically slave labor.

It’s crazy how most of North Africa and parts of East Africa/Yemen today are considered the “Arab world”.

A lot of these people ain’t passing the “paper bag test” obviously

Interesting video. It’s breaks down what NOBODY is being taught in schools. Not here in the USA at least. :manny:

Everyone knows about the transatlantic slave trade from school/black history month and theres all these movies made about slavery in USA, Brazil, Caribbean etc but the slavery in the Arab world gets brushed over and lost in history

I might even suggest the Arab slave trade set the precedent and example for slavery and the idea of the “black/African slave” popular FIRST and ultimately made what would later come even more possible

No different than how “white Jesus” Christianity and wrong Bible verse interpretations is often been blamed for justifying slavery in USA, even more so did early Islam promote the notions that Black people (by the color of their skin or simply being African) are destined for servitude and “lesser than” those non black Muslims.

and further, it endorsed having/selling African slaves as it was practiced and a staple in the Arab world and in the Muslim teachings ( by the example set by Muhammad himself) according to the Koran.:hubie:

Throughout history the practice just spread from there all through the Arab world/culture and wherever the religion spread

Not to say slavery was ONLY tied or started with Muslims in Africa/Arabia but how this type of slavery was adopted into the society and condoned by the (non black) followers of Islam at the time is mind blowing

For a practicing Muslim wouldn’t they question why “Allah” says Black slaves are worth less than Non Black ones, for example?

The craziest fact to me in the video is how converting to Islam back then disqualified a person from being a slave UNLESS you are black/African. :jbhmm:

And how in a nutshell a lot of these same ideas/practices still exist today in many Arab countries. But you can watch the video for all the details. These aren’t my words. Just reacting to the video :youngsabo:

Here’s the YouTube channel:

It’s really eye opening stuff :whoo:

Because that’s east Africa. We (black Americans) weren’t affected by the Arab slave trade. We live and deal in the US

Why do coli weirdos care about topics irrelevant to them

Be Black but choose to exist as an Arab brehs..mental illness is what it is.

But Arab isn’t a race. It’s a language/subculture

I guess being “black” and “Arab” are similar by definition :patrice:

You can be African, black and Arab just look at Sudan for example

IMMIGRANT TETHERS
Because the majority of Black Muslims push back on anyone who criticizes their Arab masters for being slave traders due to sharing their religion on some “don’t attack my brother” shyt.

They’ll tell you “it wasn’t real slavery” and give you a million and one excuses why it was justified. Trust me they KNOW.

Meanwhile Arabs are calling their supposed brothers “abeed” (which means SLAVE) behind closed doors.

The only black Muslims I’ve seen who actually don’t like Arabs are East Africans. But then even they adopt the Arabs mentality and believe themselves to be superior to non East African Black Muslims and would have zero problem calling a black non East African Muslim an “abeed” like the Arab ones do.

The current anti black flex for Arabs is importing black Muslim women into their nations as workers and then not paying them. While doing this they rape, abuse, mistreat and degrade the women.

ZERO PUSHBACK from Black Muslims.

Yet if this was happening to Arab women they would be the first ones in the line at the protest.

east african muslims all have arab names and rock arab attires

west african muslims are the ones who don't worship arabs like that. especially upper guinea west africans. kept their indigenous, west africanized arab names(amad=amadou, mohamad=mohamadou, Fatim=fatimatta), kept same culture and prey to their own prophets instead of mohammad
