Not really. Culture dictates art. Not the other way around.

You want to know the pulse of a community, look at the art. The black community doesn’t have cultural space to support artists like Taylor Swift.

We once did in artists like Brandy but no more.

Answer isn't complicated. When people didn't mind buying music we had it. Everybody wants shyt free now so we don't.

The shift everybody complains about started when it was easier to get music without paying for it. The people who still bought started dictating shyt.
