A serious answer.
Since post-colonialism any attempts to be independent and for African countries to assert autonomy has been subverted by Western powers. They killed democratically elected people like Patrice Luemba because after he tried to work with the Americans and was rebuffed he dared to reach out to the only country that would engage with his country, the USSR. So democratically elected leaders are assassinated or removed and despots are put in their place. Combine that with economic penalties and isolation placed on black countries that refuse to play along with being simply a resource depot for the west you end up with countries that struggle to get off the ground.
A lot of these countries tended towards communism after independence and understandably so. You've been oppressed by western powers and their capitalist systems forever and there is a competing ideology that espouses equality, is it surprising that communism is attractive? But in the cold war, and still today, having the third world embrace communism is unacceptable and to the point on Asian countries, you will notice in their history the countries that "succeed" are allowed autonomy when they are ruled by right wing usually anti communist forces .For example, South Korea was ruled by a right wing benevolent dictator for 30 years after the korean war and was embraced by thr west by being anti communist. In post war japan, there was a communist movement that was immediately stamped out with the support of the US .
Countries that are allowed to succeed are those that play into the power paradigm where western powers are dominant .
