Everybody in here has said some real sh*t on the matter.. but I kinda agree with the thread starter. Despite all the hurdles, somebody should've been on some other sh*t and slipped through the cracks on some soccer/football sh*t. That''s what this country is all about. Going against the grain and starting a new movement.

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
we created baseball and basketball and had our methods created first, before everyone else.

Canadians created Basketball :mjpls: Being first doesn't matter that much once it's accepted by more than 1 region.

We werent first in soccer.

The Brits were and once the world decided it liked their sport it caught up to them and passed them.

AND if we are going to be 100 with this, the US doesnt probably doesnt have the best structure to produce the very best basketball players anymore and per capita probably arent tops in baseball either. We have the athletes, numbers, and history and thats what gets us over but the game is taught better to the European players.

Skills are similar @ the wing positions, the level of athleticism is not which is why we have the edge. The US just produces a brand of athlete that isn't really produced anywhere else in the world, especially not in the type of numbers. I say once Brazil gets a load of basketball and all the tall kids in that country see a sport they can excel in, they will jump on and become a world power, but even then they wont produce the same type of athletes as America.

I posted a breh that may, and that was ignored. :sas2:

Nah, you posted someone that weighs 172lbs :scusthov: you gotta be atleast 180lbs for me to classify you as an elite athlete.

the game was created in Springfield, Massachusetts. :wtb:

And it does when you play it for about 45 years before everyone else :russ:

we have better athletes than the Brits and did not practice inbreeding.

its not. In fact hte Brits are the ones who are the USA's greatest influences in the sport. They use their best athletes too.

The Brits are not shyt in the sport. A lot of it is down to how bad their coaching set up is.

And Im watching the 1984 Draft documentary now. Oscar Schmidt happened nearly 30 years ago and is a Gawd down there. Why hasnt it happened? Infrastructure.

edit: and again, "we produce athletes." We dont produce the better skilled players anymore.

they do, but they keep it real. You are an athlete, so be an athlete. In this country, its education first which leads to bullshyt like the UNC academic fraud scandal.

Yeah but the bruvs had Soccer for a lot longer than 45 years and the rest of the world ran by them in a heartbeat, and this was prior to Youtube, dudes had to imagine what Sir. Ellsworth Kennsington's moves were like when they were described by telegram :wow:

:dead: The subtle shade at the pasties.

Nah I was talking about basketball when I said skills on the wing were about the same in regards to the rest of the world. But they used to be the world power in Soccer, the world caught up and lapped them, the world is catching up to us in basketball.

It's not infrastructure in Brazil really, the main reason it hasn't happened is because every kid there wants to play footie. I think once the Olympics happen and their media covers Team USA, kids there will see the creativity NBA players have and hear how much players make in the NBA you'll see a much more concerted effort in the sport. It's gaining popularity down there, slowly but surely it will happen. Also, the men in their country on average are 2-3" shorter than us......

The world is catching up with America in basketball because they are taught the game better.

We arent taught the game that well here in any sport, but all the flaws show up in soccer.

The flaws show up in Soccer because our best athletes aren't there to hide them :leon:

We'd have 6'7" 230lbs midfielders out there bodying up bird chested dudes like Peter Crouch, nobody is winning any headers with Gerald Green on the pitch, Ronaldo and his 31" vert would be looking at Greens kneecaps when they go up at the same time :blessed:

that 6'7" 230 lb breh would be hauled off at 15 minutes because he'd pass out from exhaustion.

Gerald Green trying to control a ball :russ:

Any of you brehs actually see Kobe try and play soccer? I saw him play up close and personal in 2010. He played in DC for some Barcelona and friends training thing on a small court. BReh was the most awkward cat I have ever seen on the field. By far the worst player too, and there were slobs and TV sportscasters out there. They looked better than him. I believe in Kobe, but brehs. :mjlol:

Tony Reali was pretty good tho :ehh:

The young Android Kawhi Leonard is exactly 6'7" 230lbs, he's not passing out from exhaustion breh :mjpls:
