That isn't the argument being made at all.

Welfare IMHO has been a tool of subjugation, and done more harm than good... and I want to stress in that, that welfare has done good... no one is saying it is a meritless program.

What's being questioned is the cost - benefit trade off, and the actual necessity of the program.




What exactly is racist about examining these programs, and seeking more efficient alternatives? ie. the negative income tax, which I have advocated on this board many times?

This default, "your a c00n" argument you continuously fall back on is tired. Why don't you try explaining why welfare is a wonderful, highly efficient program beyond unworthy of scrutiny...

The problem is when folks like you or TWIMMY look at all black liberals as a monolith that only fukks with the Democrats because of welfare.

The problem with u brehs is u are followers who allow others (conservatives) to do your thinking for you, and so when you encounter someone who doesn't share your world views you assume they do the same thing but just have a different ideological master

When in reality, someone who doesn't share your world view might (and probably) has arrived there by looking at issues and events and coming to their own conclusions

I dont like Obama and I dont fukk with the Democrats, but at the same time I'm not so obtuse and dead in the head that I would think anyone who fukks with them is some slave on the welfare plantation.

I agree with the overarching point being made throughout the thread, that black conservative arguments do tend to insult black intelligence, and that a revision/new approach is in order.

I think its the way state provision dominates much of the left/right "debate"(on this board) that feeds into/creates what your seeing, and causes both sides of the debate to place unnecessary emphasis on social safety nets, when, as you point out, its much more than that.


TWISM got bodied in this thread, but I think what he was asking is a valid question, and one worth debating.

the issue isnt whether black people have been oppressed, the issue is whether liberalism represents the best way to address the issues

While I fukks with some republic/conservative ideas (and truth be told nikkaz are WAY more conservative than cacs think), the fact that Republicans house groups of individuals that are blatantly racist is why we don't fukk with them as a whole. And yeah while "Liberals" are way too enabling in their policies towards black people, it damn sure beats the other option.

No one thinks this, but the truth is there is a much higher percentage of blacks on welfare than that of whites, which is belied by many b*llshyt welfare statistics thrown around by the left wing media. It makes it seem like the problem (whatever you think the problem is, depending on your perspective) is spread evenly, when in fact it very much is not.

... and its not that there is no need for safety nets, but that this specific safety net is horse sh*t.

The fallacious jump that is made, when you take some one who thinks welfare is a horrible program and conclude they must then oppose all safety nets... is something I like to do when trolling, not something you should be seriously arguing.
