To an extent I suppose. If you keep God out of it, why do black men marry?
The men I know who have been married 10 plus years mostly got caught up.
They made it work, put in the time, and continued created the union. They had to learn how to become husbands, leaders and fathers.
That’s the unfortunate truth of our community. Our fathers (generally speaking) weren’t there and we didn’t have a model. Raw sex equals babies and we try to make it right.
For those brothas out there without kids, if you want a legacy in this world, the best way is by a union. You must be intentional. If you move through the world in your 30’s without children, your eyes are wide open. Then you see the women for what they are.
