I mean she’s not Viola Davis but she was good in barbershop to me. I just don’t think she’s had time to be on a movie/TV set for months on end and she probably costs a lot to book.


I can see her doing more roles in the future now that she is getting older and has a kid.

Nicki has had a fukked up attitude since she came in the game as a star, especially towards other women. Plain and simple.

I don't think she would play a side character role.

She could definitely do narration with all the different voices and cadences

Get with some talent , write some movies and some funky kid songs .

I remember taking a Drama course in high school. Acting isn’t as easy as it looks. Then again I’m a real dude. So acting isn’t easy for me.

Not every rapper can act. And just because someone's a musician or in some sort of creative field doesn't mean they can translate it into another one.

To this day, I have yet to see an athlete, rapper, musician, or anybody that was a convincing actor or actress. DMX is probably the best. Then Tupac.

Madonna was in movies and damn near all of them were terrible. Mariah Carey did a movie and it was terrible.

She was good in Barbershop but thats really her ceiling. I couldn’t see her “disappearing” into a role where you forget its “Nicki Minaj” and she doesn’t have the charisma to sell a movie just BEING “Nicki Minaj”.


Whoever said she would be a great voice actress hit the nail on the head. That could really be her niche. She’d KILL it in the children’s programming world

Nicki Minaj should do Pixar movies.

She was in some movie, can’t recall. And she did fine. But she made more money recording and did so mostly on her own terms and schedule. With film, you have to set aside entire blocks of days/weeks to film, reshoot etc. A lot of work for comparatively little pay. Most people prefer to be the top dog in their industry instead of starting over at the bottom in another.

I remember Heavy D wanting to be the next Denzel, but couldn’t really break into the industry. Will Smith, Queen Latifah are rare.

Heavy did ok in Hollywood considering that he wasn't a trained actor. Has more acting credits than you might think. Just not starring roles like Will and Latifah.
