Isn't the NY Post the conservative counter-balance to the NY Times? From that perspective, they still view hip-hop as nothing more as a glorification of crime, drugs, misogyny, etc. To give and professional franchise a hip-hop image, therefore, is promoting those same things.

Its nothing new. I wouldn't necessarily call it blatant racism, just thinly veiled racism.

ridiculous none the less...

heres another comment by this a$$hole in defense of his written filth

"Such obvious, wishful and ignorant mischaracterizations of what I write are common. I don’t call black men the N-word; I don’t regard young women as bytches and whores; I don’t glorify the use of assault weapons and drugs. Jay-Z, on the other hand…..Is he the only NBA owner allowed to call black men N—ers?”"

I will admit there is some truth to this statement. But the entire premise was way off base to begin with. It's like he had this one good point in that Mr. Carter is an ambassador for more than just Hip Hop now and some has a responsibility to represent himself appropriately in his new position. That has nothing to do with the new unis.

And any True Hip Hop Head would point out that Jigga said "Too many b!tches wanna be ladies..." clearly distinguishing the 2 types of females.

By "Thinly Veiled", do you mean they censored "Ni66ers" in "New York Ni66ers" instead of showing the word in full view? :beli:
