Why so much hate on Charlotte?

Good list. I wanted to add this Korean fried chicken restaurant over off Park Road and Woodlawn, Bonchon. Reasonable pricing and it was really good, trying to find some time to go back over there for the lunch special

Seafood Connection too off of Albemarle Road. When I saw the price of the trays I was skeptical, but that was a lot of damn food they put in that carryout box

I remember I met this group of ladies out one night and we were talking about food spots. One of them said, "Nah, I don't like Mert's. That's white people soul food"

How could I forget Seafood Connection!! Man I remember when they were cooking in church parking lots with lines around the building! I’m so proud of their growth. Man I still haven’t been to Bonchon yet! I need to stop by.

People are going to skip over this post but it's the one telling the most truth.

Charlotte is a city for families and people who want to live in a big city without actually being in one. 90% of the post in here will be about how quiet an area is or where to buy homes.

EpicCenter is a two story circlular baby mall. No one talks about the Charlotte museums or visual attractions or social events. Cause there aren't any. When the CIAA comes to town, Charlotteans stay home cause they don't want to go into uptown. A social event where many people from town don't want to go? Carowinds is for kids and the most adult attraction they have is that Whitewater Center.


Charlotte isn't a bad city. It's just meant for a certain type of person.




I was shocked at how bad the traffic was since I left. Uptown used to have a lot of free parking , but they've put meters up everywhere. Lightrail is good.

You shouldn't have to travel 2-3 hrs to find something great to do in a large city.

So basically it's great for introverts who don't care to deal with people anyways

extremely gentrified, half of the the northeast is crippled and streets blocked off because of that light rail... I-277 is a complete mess with the reconstruction going on... so called luxury apartments (which are nothing but over-priced dorms) popping up all over the place...unnecessary valet parking everywhere....south carolina drivers driving like fricking maniacs.... gentrification bicycles and scooters is the new wave... the clubs and women is like any other city you know how that go...pandlers begging for money is at every intersection even in the burbs...the job market is cool for IT but that's the only market I know although the Indians run this sht - seems like they took over the university area but I don't mind living around them bc they mind their business

Man I saw a dude panhandling at the intersection right by SouthPark Mall and my dude had on some clean ass shorts and shoes lol. I was like he must be “SouthPark broke” which means he’s still getting money, just not as much as he would normally.
