Highly overrated in my opinion. Job market is average at best when it comes to paying decent salaries. And way more closet racists in positions of power for a city that diverse. Hell didn't they just have race riots a few years back? But if you get a decent job there you better hold on for dear life because they are few and far between. The job market in Raleigh or Atlanta shyts on Charlotte for minorities.

S/o to the brehs and brehettes living in Chrarlotte. I didn't know the coli had that many people from the 704. I've been living in Charlotte 8 years now and the growth is crazy. I live in the highland creek area and I can say Charlotte is definitely the place to raise a family, get your money, and stay out the way. A lot of young black professionals here and as you explore you'll find the city has what you need, may not be easy to spot as Atlanta but when you find your vice you'll settle in and feel right at home with a little bit of everything that fits your needs.

Something that is a little interesting, is the cost of groceries... It's actually more expensive out here, than when I was in Philly. People have told me to go to Aldi's, but I'm too bougie lol... I haven't tried Food Lion. But Harris Teeter and Publix are the only two options that are close to where I live. But they are both pretty expensive.
Same problem I had when I moved here. I was hurting bad cause I had to sink every cent I had into moving because I got the job offer and started working 2 weeks later. I had to stretch 20 dollars until I got my first check and went to Harris Teeter because it was closed to my house. I really was :picard: At them prices! I was so mad walking out of there lol. I shop at Aldi’s And Trader Joe’s now. Only go to Teeter for the subs.

ATL via Tre 4
Brehs, nothing is worse than cruising from Gboro, hitting business 40 and having to slow all the way down to 45 in the Tre. You have to go 45 because Winston cops don’t play and stay camped on the interstate. I don’t miss that shyt or the constant construction they was doing on the interstate.

Charlotte traffic pisses me off. It never fails, but as soon as I past the WT Harris exit headed to Winston, i come to a complete stop in 2 lane traffic.

So basically it's great for introverts who don't care to deal with people anyways
Kinda. It can be very cliquish around here
Most of the people I knew moved there cause someone else (mostly New Yorkers) had already moved and recommended it so I agree. It's cliquish.

Yeah, I'm an introvert but I like having stuff to do alone.

I love Charlotte. Been here 15 years. Check out po boys on freedom, midwood smokehouse, bad daddy's and lawan's. Those are some of my favorite spots. Traffic has gotten significantly worse though. Absolutely sucks for no reason. We have great parks around here. I live close to Huntersville btw.

Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
Since joinin' the coli fam, I have realized some places/towns once they are mentioned here its an automatic :trash:

especially my hometown New Jersey (btw which I totally understand). Tho any mention brought about Charlotte its either :dead: or someone mentioning its "An Atl wanna-be."

Anyone wanna shed some knowledge esp for a young black single bruh with a steady online income business?

Explain to me why you “understand” why Jersey gets hate?

Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
extremely gentrified, half of the the northeast is crippled and streets blocked off because of that light rail... I-277 is a complete mess with the reconstruction going on... so called luxury apartments (which are nothing but over-priced dorms) popping up all over the place...unnecessary valet parking everywhere....south carolina drivers driving like fricking maniacs.... gentrification bicycles and scooters is the new wave... the clubs and women is like any other city you know how that go...pandlers begging for money is at every intersection even in the burbs...the job market is cool for IT but that's the only market I know although the Indians run this sht - seems like they took over the university area but I don't mind living around them bc they mind their business

You described an average American city. You would think in 2018 people would understand cities are not what they used to be and heading a different direction!
