I actually think it is less an issue of anything Abrams has done herself and more an issue of things done by people who support her. If suddenly all the Abrams supporters stopped mentioning black men and stopped talking to them, Abrams would have a much better chance of winning. Seriously. She still has to contend with all the other issues you mentioned but she may actually be able to do that. Unless I missed anything, she herself hasn't said much terrible towards black men. The problem is that all her supporters basically undo any good or ground she makes because they are unable to stifle their hatred for black men for even a second. This thread will prove this point in full. The republicans have a gun to their head and they have a chance to put that gun away by simply interacting with black men properly and they can't even do that.
For sure. Abrams herself, as an individual, is pretty likeable. Doesnt talk too much, seems to project a genuine spirit of "I want to help".

But I think if she were pressed by say, Ice Cube, I think most her answers about issues that Black Men care about (for examples reparations, policies to help black boys, collectivist politics by way of amassing and leveraging capital) would be unsatisfactory. I dont think she can answer these without a slant of intersectional politics that ultimately undermines any real meaning or plan of action ("if elected gov, i promise that ALL communities would be uplifted, including the Black communities :troll: ").

And dont get it twisted, I think Abrams would be a better governor than Kemp. I just think that many Black men want pointed actions geared only toward the Black community and any Established Dem CANNOT offer that for the reasons mentioned earlier.

I'm not reading all that shyt but I don't think she's a strong candidate I hope she wins but I doubt it. This sounds like a hidden both sides thread as normal.

Ultimately the issue with Stacy Abrams is she, like most established dems, is pro intersectional politics. Which is inherently incompatible with the desire for succeeding in our patriarchal, capitalistic society.

I think a lot of men, but especially Black men have become hip to the Capitalism game over the past 20 years and realized that the intersectional gangs desire to subvert all patriarchal hierarchies is something that will never succeed in the world of men. All it will yield is moral victories (yay gender neutral bathrooms and gays can get married :blessed: ) but overall, nothing tangible in the capital arms race.

Even worse yet, the other races who are supposedly "on our side" are collectively not actually interested in subverting patriarchy and capitalism. They are able to hide their capitalistic desires behind ethnopride movements (for example latinidad and asian identity) and "wanting to live the American Dream" and no one checks them on it.

They are only invested where their interests align with intersectional virtues (eliminating minority racism, opening borders, creating opportunities to carve out fiefdoms in White Supremacy,) but in terms of creating a full state of equality for all?

Well we saw what happened in LA with the city council. :mjpls:

I think sometimes a lot of fellow Black folks (especially women and left leaning men) are confused as to why so many Black men are adopting views that promote hierarchies, so much so that many Black men are increasingly become right wing or right wing adjacent. The quick answer is that "oh black men just want to be like White Men and have Patriarchy on their side :pacspit:".

While im sure there is a nugget of truth in that, i think its overly reductionist. I think many Black men want better for their community and want to improve it, but dont know of any other way to do it, other than succeeding in capitalism and enforcing patriarchal hierarchies.

Think it of like this:

Imagine you and every other Black person in America are a race car team. For years youve been trying to compete in the race, but have been hindered by sabotage, lack of funding, lack of tools, no real training on driving, maintenance, tactics. shyt, you just got your own car.

But after a few years, you a black man have realized certain denominators for the successful teams. These traits are: Men usually drive. The car HAS to be built a certain way, painted a certain color and driven at a certain speed. Everyone on the team has to have certain jobs and no deviation from this plan is tolerated.

You see the race is getting tight and now is the time. This is the only time in history your team could be in this position. You and the team have to implement this plan. :salute:

Except....as youre trying to implement this plan...the women on the team are saying...wait are we sure youre the best driver? :jbhmm: They think they can drive as well as you. Or wait, the car has to be painted this color? :jbhmm: Or even better, its unethical to even be participating in this race, much less driving the car. We should all be living our truths instead :troll:

*If you havent caught on, in this analogy, the team is the Black community, the car is captalism and the roles are hierarchies. And the women are the shea butter, intersectional feminists girl bosses. Black men are seeing how other groups like the Small Hats, the Naijas, Red Dots, the Orientals, and Mooslums get down and are trying to mimic the common denominators*

Now, imagine youre a black man in this scenario. Wouldnt you be LIVID that they cant see your vision? WOuldnt it be frustrating that you clearly see theres ways to finesse the game, but many in your own community are saying we shouldnt even be playing the game and are offering a alternative that has never succeeded before?

Wouldnt you want to go around like minded people? Even the somewhat detestable ones? After all, at least they know what needs to be done (remember White men are fighting a similar battle with their women/left wing).

This is why the redpill and manosphere are going anywhere. This is why Fem Dems like Abrams and Kamala are doomed to fail. Full buy in and support from the Dems means fully buying into intersectional politics over politics that are hierarchal but get shyt done
Basically black men want structure, the same structure other groups of men have. That's really all it comes down too.

Democrats won't push black patriarchal relationships but a freak show, and we don't want that.

You answered your own thread. Alsl the point about the black conservative hustle and gputuve social speakers are mostly right leaning dudes, it's a lose lose situation for the democrats they know black men don't want none of that stuff and will vote less and less and the Hispanics aren't gonna be 90% for them they know it's a wrap soon.

To be rally honest with 2 incomes you can do more than just one white people vote against they're own interest all the time because they usually have help we don't have that. Structure and family is everything, times like now most these eviction stories are black women losing they rentals no family no man with kids it's gonna get real.

The social conservative babble will become much louder democrats know writing is on the wall.

I admire other groups but not a c00n but I wish I had that benefit myself. Most black men do low key, sooner or later black women in particular will realize most of us hate black culture it has no real benefits besides conversations which unfortunately don't pay the bills. Depression is rising, people are waking up. It will get real.
