those are straight up enhancement talent...just jobbers. They might have 'charactor' but so did roadblock, the gambler, brooklyn brawler, etc

the problem is there aren't enough of these guys to go around. also in the last month how many times have these guys even appeared on raw?

don't you think it would be great if there was always an endless supply of fresh jobbers for the guys on the main roster to feed on whenever they needed to?

no

thats effing awful :heh:

why would I PREFER to see a babyface or a heel just beat up a punching bag of a man who can barely sell and has no offense?

WHY do you think those crowds on superstars of wrestling and wrestling challenge were silent for the generic Hercules vs. jobber outside of his entrance and the pinfall.

am i in bizzaro world?

you WANT MORE JOBBERS??!?!?

ryback was NOT OVER until he started facing main roster guys. Beating the multiple jobbers didn't work for shyt.

look at the booking of goldberg. He lowest level dudes he fought were hugh morris and disco inferno and he murdered them. He was over like ROVER by the time he got to the big bugga rogers of the world and was king of the hill by the time he got to Raven

don't you have fun sometimes when your favorite team just dominates and wins by a landslide? don't you get off sometimes knowing you have the game won after only the 1st quarter? isn't fun once in a while to be reminded that your team is the shyt and that they're capable of playing this fukkin good?

must the game always be a nail biter?

you know who's also silent? the crowds during raw when (insert mid carder) faces (insert mid carder) for the 20th time.

that hercules squash match wasn't about putting on a competitive matchup, it was about getting hercules over as a performer and a legit superstar. if people are only used to seeing this guy tear apart jabronis then they won't really know what to expect when it's finally time for him to face a real superstar and they'll have to tune in.

when you think of the 80's and 90's none of the top babyfaces got to the level they were at without credible heels to go over. hercules played a pivotal role early in warrior's career and really helped get him over as a powerhouse. he also did wonders for jake the snake. jake wasn't as big or as strong as some of the other guys on the roster but seeing him put hercules to sleep with the DDT at summerslam made him a threat to beat just about anyone.

and again, this only works because everytime hercules was on tv he was destroying someone.

when ryback faced punk for the title on ppv, not one person believed punk could beat him clean.

I think a healthy mix is good, as in if you're just debuting, face jobbers like twice and gradually move up. Once a superstar is established, they could face a jobber every once in a while and still have competive matches against the people they're in title contention with.

But Zach Ryder and heath Slater and sandow are out there getting destroyed AND putting on a show with their character...so what's your point..?

Is it somehow better if those guys just lost their characters and were random CAWs..?

Characters who lose regularly >>>>>>>> LOCAL JOBBER

those Ryback squash matches produced the GOAT of recent jobber names Stan Stansky

stansky_rosenberg-650x365.jpg

They don't have to all be squash/jobber matches, but 1 match per week on a 3 hour show where a newer guy like Owens just runs roughshod for 1:30 hitting all his big moves on a Stan Stansky doesn't sound bad to me at all :yeshrug:
