Cause they know if they didn't release this shyt this year then they would've been fukked next year when the great recession kicks in. People and buisnesses surviving just long enough to sell these consoles out but people will be hurting heavily next year. You saw what happened in March, they gotta get this shyt out now cause it's going to get complicated 2021.

Games running faster ain't worth the stressing ppl going through. Still, not that many next gen games (meaning not cross gen)

Obviously I'm not saying the New Gen isn't better, but, dudes on fukking crying like babies because of scalpers and shyt

I plan on getting one next year when you can just walk in and get it

nikkas on Walmart refreshing the Xbox/PS5 page once every five minutes

If Cyberpunk runs like shyt on my PS4, I'll admit I'm totally wrong

My guy, a GTA hasn't dropped since the Xbox 360 & PS3 were considered current gen systems. nikkas have been playing a remaster for 7 years.

Breh gotta be trolling. A couple lines later he complains about studios putting out the same game over and over, and paywalls. Like that doesn't damn near describe GTA V to a tee. :mjlol:

thats the point dumb fukk :russ: obviously GTA feeds the streets if people are still playing a remaster for nearly a decade .... meanwhile these other games are done in 20 hours

put the fukking weed down dog

but you would rather pay 70$ yearly to play the same game?
I'm on your profile right now
You're playing Madden 28th version
Need for speed 11th version
Assassins Creed 12th version
Fallout 6th version
we can go on an on and on all of these games barely change shyt and make you pay over and over :yeshrug: dont shoot the messenger

like dude said GTA came out on 360 and still feeds the streets and still regularly updates for free. Sports games alone last generation have paid out thousands if you bought them first month
GTA has been one price with enhancements and 8 years of free upgrades. I love all of these games but lets be real, when are yall gonna stop getting raped on some Stockholm syndrome shyt
Ghost Of Tsushima was dope but they've been trying to get Assassin's Creed to do the same game for 4 years... so without a doubt you'll get Assassins Creed - Ghosts of Tsushima in 2 years :mjlol:
playing the same exact way as Valhalla... doing the same shyt as Ghosts and drawing in sand and writing haikus instead of stacking stones and Flyting or whatever... its the same shyt over and over. Games used to be progressive and creative now its just copy paste shyt
You can say GTA "is the same game over and over" but they invented open world free gameplay since 97... you can do whatever you want. I didnt tell the industry to copy that formula for 24 years. So like the point I proved in the first post, GTA will surely innovate and change the game like they always do...fukking Valhalla came out less than a month ago and is still not on the level of a game that came out in 2013 ... companies are still copying the dynamics of it and trying to mimic everything it brought to the table

check the longevity of a company that actually provides material in their games :yeshrug:
all of these other companies are putting out Assassins Creed Pt 12, Call of Duty Pt 20, Battlefield Pt 9
give us some actual food that isnt microwaved, for what its worth....GTA is played out but at least it provided at least 5 years of playtime at first
meanwhile everyone is copping Pt 10 of other games and not complaining at all. Gaming has fallen off hardbody in the past 5 years innovation wise... for example Mortal Kombat
great game but why not take number 10 and combine it with 11 since its already there. Take the krypt and story of 11 but throw in the characters and skins from 10 into 11 and actually use your assets
Instead of having MK10 just being lost in the shuffle actually utilize what you've already done... all it would do is make your games bigger and more refined

Origins and Odyssey should have been easily combined after the 2nd dropped ... with new consoles and digital downloading... you could easily have connected both maps ... or at the very least implement odyssey innovation into origins with an update
Its 2020 ... people act like you cant just update these games with a quick patch... to me there is no point of having games lost in time due to abandonment. Especially when they are all the same shyt

where's the innovation in any of these games the past few years? they have the time and assets to expand to infinite size on content and still sell you the bare minimum

I think the next GTA title is when we will see the drop off in quality. Most of the notable developers have left Rockstar.

RDR2 is probably going to be the last Rockstar game with a good story.

Ok, so this is more about you being one of those people that REALLY likes GTA V more than anything. Cool.

I love GTA V for the time I played it, but let's not act like it was some sort of groundbreaking, revolutionary game. It's easy to say that every game is copying GTA V, because it does just about all of your standard open world game stuff. Almost all of these games are taking elements of each other at this point.

But you seriously can't talk about people playing sequels to games while championing the seventh mainline (11th, if you count the handheld ones) game in a series. One that is taking content originally meant to be part of the story mode, and piecing it out to multiplayer, solely because these new free releases keep microtransactions going. Not to mention that they're going to rerelease this gotdamn game a third time on new consoles. :mjlol:

Also, skimming someone's recently played games tells you little other than the fact that they played them recently. I've been in threads talking about how Assassin's Creed badly needs an overhaul, and am only willing to buy and play them at heavy discounts. Those Need for Speed games I played a couple of months ago were shyt I kicked around because they were free on EA Play, and I didn't want to play any of the major releases until I picked up my PS5.

At this point, you can just edit your other posts to say you don't want to buy s new console because it's not needed to play your favorite games. Which is completely fine, because no grown ass man is really going to criticize you for not buying right now. But to call other people dumb for buying now just because YOU can't find a reason to justify the purchase right now is a little ridiculous.

I’m so confused by the idea of people acting like they are being forced to buy a new console lol

No one cares what yall do
I'm not a hard core gamer anymore but I would guess those types feel left out if they don't cop the new systems even tho they probably realize they are not needed. Like just for one original title that isn't even that great? They made a big deal out of the new PS controller but is that really worth buying it? I don't see many bragging about that. Faster load times? Thats a plus but is that enough? Maybe. I have quite a few titles to still play on my PS4.

I would say if you're not trying to keep up with the Jones' then hold off until some great titles get released. Not the same old remakes and remasters.

Video gaming is a luxury, some people are gonna have all the latest because they have the extra disposable income to spare. People on this forum have 2000 dollar+ gaming rigs because it’s what they enjoy.

You don’t need to game at all, it’s a hobby. If you feel like spending 500 dollars for load times, better resolution, framerates, new controller features, exclusives and future proofing your entertainment set up then it’s 100% worth it. If you dont care about tech, and just wanna play fifa then obviously you don’t need to spend that type of money.

PS4 didnt see a significant price cut, from sony, until 3 years in (and it was only 100 bucks).

You could get that same price cut (and then some) by selling your current gen console and games now, while they are worth more.

Alot of people on this very forum, smartly, subsidized the cost of the next gen console by selling their current gen.

Not saying people should buy the console now but lets not act like there aren't 2 ways to skin a cat.

Time isnt the only way to save on the cost of something.
